  • This week on Chronic Illness Weekly it's busy as per usual. I start the week in Great Yarmouth enjoying a very short break with Mike & his family. I return home to a relaxed Halloween evening. I take a quick visit to Thames Chase Trust Community Forrest and cancel an evening with friends for a night in with a no dough pizza co Gluten-free, vegan pizza. Saturday is super busy as I'm up in London's west end for a double show day: first a conversation with Julie Andrews followed by Mamma Mia. Sunday I crashed, stayed in bed all day and had to cancel my joint birthday dinner with my Wanna Spoon Co-host, Karen.
Chronic Illness Weekly is, you guessed it, a weekly vlog showing you my life with Chronic Illness. I share my experiences with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome ( EDS ), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome ( POTS ) and Chronic Migraine. I fight chronic pain and fatigue and many other symptoms on a daily basis but I try not to let it stop me.

Sometimes it's easy to forget the progress you've made when you can't see it yourself. Thank you lovely x

If I push too hard, I’ll get the hot spots. It’s usually related to my MAST cell activation disorder. With me it will be on any area of my skin. If I sense it starting up, I can usually head it off with a benedryl or two. It’s my immune systems way of trying to do everything I am asking of it. If I pace myself it is minimal if at all. Just a reminder to manage my spoons more wisely!!! Looks like you are getting the hang of spoon management too? Thanks for another fantastic peak of your week. Spoons for everyone and take care.

Yeah I think It's probably a mild mast cell thing because it happens too little to be a specific reaction but too much for there to be no real reason. I'll try a benadryl next time. Getting the hang of it slowly but surely I hope :P Spoons & love to you Gordon! x

It just happens every once in a while thinking it could be a mast cell problem but will definitely mention it next time I see my GP thanks x
