I lost my mother on July 10 2023. She was the absolute best….i am devastated but eternally grateful grateful for the time I got to spend with her 83 years
Happy are those who still have their mothers! Love them and respect them while they are still alive. Mine died in 1972, when I was still very young. I was just doing Grade 1 at school. However, I am no longer mourning for her anymore, for the Lord God is my shepherd!!
My mum is 84 years old today, and I can't help being emotional and thanking God for keeping her through the years gone by. We lost our dad, her husband, just this March. They have been running their empty nest together for over 25 years after everyone had left home. Whilst we worried about her ability to cope without him being around, she proved the engracing of God upon her for strength to move on and stand alone. Lord, indeed, we are grateful for how far you have brought her and the many more years you are keeping her for us.

We were burying my grandmother (fathers mother) and in my fathers tribute to his mom he mentioned how growing up when he’d visit her in her home she would play this song and they would have a sing a long. And yesterday when he woke up, he woke up singing the song. I was so touched! My grandmothers passing really is a wound that’s going to take a while to heal from.
