    in my scenario, I use it to wash/rinse my mountain bike right after a ride at the trail head, and dry it off with the wind on the way home, pretty nice for this application.

    The tool is part of Ryobi days and as such I got it in the kit took the batteries back so the tool only cost me $44. If you look closely you can replace the attachment to the hose with a metal one as they use them for pressure cleaners and they're making an adjustable nozzle that we'll be able to be used later on. As stated these are for use in places where water is not readily available.

    I've had a Worx Hydroshot for years now and like it so much I bought a second one as a backup. I actually urged Ryobi on several occasions to come out with a similar tool, so as soon as it was released I bought one. The power is about the same on each one but the Worx definitely has a better setup. With the Hydroshot, you can change tips just like a pressure washer or use the selectable nozzle head like the Ryobi, (though the Worx has more settings).
    Just like the Worx, people who don't understand the concept are under the impression that this is meant to replace a pressure washer - it is not, it's for portable light washing on-the-go or for applications where a pressure washer would cause damage. A good example is I wash my garden figurines with the Hydroshot. I tried a pressure washer once and it damaged them. A pressure washer also removed the finish from my expensive birdbath, whereas the Hydroshot works great.
    The Ryobi is not an everyday tool, but it is handy for what it is designed for. You can watch the comparable Hydroshot in many RUclips videos. Andrew over at Kite Army is particularly found of the Hydroshot and has some different videos of it in use.

    I just bought this even after watching your video and rating it as a bust. I can see why it wouldn't be so great for washing your truck but I use mine inside the garage on a classic car. I have a 2500psi gas washer and a 1800 electric washer but I don't want to drag them out and hook them up plus I needed something with less psi but more than my 60psi hose and bucket capable is a must. I use this1st with soap, then a tap water rinse and then with a bucket of distilled water. The distilled eliminates water spots and great prep for wax. I never expect a full rating from any pressure washer. I figure what ever number is on the unit reduce that by a third for real world use.

    I believe this pressure washer won't knock your socks off, but the real reason to have this is if you need spray action somewhere with no water hose or power outlet. like in a parking structure near a drain, car show, or middle of a parking lot.

    • @RYOBIKING
      @RYOBIKING  4 года назад

      I agree this would be good in a area with the water hook up but. Even after watching my truck with it it left a lot of stuff behind so I don’t see a point wouldn’t you I just rather wait and do a good clean when you get home to each there own thanks for watching I love the feed back

      Exactly the reason I bought the Hydroshot, After foaming the car I hand wash it before rinsing off, Works exactly as planned and expected, This and other similar products which sit between Garden hose and pressure washers if used in the right way are prefect for those in-between jobs, And the portability is always an ace in the hole

  • @dcigabop
    @dcigabop 4 года назад +13

    I think you are missing the intended purpose of this tool, it’s for taking it to places where you do not have a permanent water source.....dropping the included hose in a 5 gallon bucket, pool or lake. The ability to also use it attached to a hose connection, is just an added benefit. The psi is noted by Ryobi and not meant to replace a ‘normal’ pressure washer.

    3:19. Of course the truck is still dirty. If you only rely on the power cleaner and don't use a brush, wash cloth, or car wash glove, then it will still be dirty. It isn't sold as a, "pressure washer." Anyone buying it thinking it's a pressure washer needs to prepare for disappointment.

    • @RYOBIKING

      I didn’t film the whole thing I did scrub I know it wouldn’t be a pressure washers power but it’s kinda right in between useless and not so useless there are other tools that do the same job half the weight for example I had a couple stock on bugs that it couldn’t remove so why would I use this when a hose does the same thing

    I've used this 320 psi "power washer" to wash my SUV where water is not readily available. Couple of 5 gallon buckets, one with soapy water, one with rinse water. It's not as bad as this review claims. Clearly, this isn't as powerful as a real power washer, and you do need to wash the car by hand, but it does get surface dirt off, allows you to soap up the vehicle and then rinse it using this sprayer.

    • @RYOBIKING
