Wow to have the knowledge then the Craftsmanship to build that Boat! To say that's impressive is an understatement! Great Job! And a Tribute to a time when everything you needed to make a living didn't always show at your door in a crate from the Sears And Roebuck Catalog! Great Job & Video!
That hull is so fair it is hard to believe it is wood. Beautiful job, eh. I'd gladly watch another video, just on the motor, too. Thanks for this video.
You should send this to small boats magazine. Awesome craftsmanship. They’ve done a couple videos on Newfoundland boats. You should check them out if you haven’t already seen them.
Mr.t that is a magnificent piece of art and history you have built. Would you ever consider letting me copy your moulds? I have a 6½ acadia and will be building a boat to match. Had a boat years ago but vandals burnt it . Have a great day and thank you for sharing such a great motorboat.
@@tonyt5004 thank you. That's a great idea to just build the shape you like without a particular mould.i know the shape I want in my head. Next time I get to northern peninsula I will look you up. Take care.
Nice I would like to build one similar to Shackleton made to go get help. Might of been moded life boat. Anyway I live in Labrador city Just a dream so far
Nice job, beautiful lines, but you got to put that exhaust under water. My ears hurt just watching the video. I remember working in boat yards when I was young and doing that chinking, Ugh!
Beautiful Craftsmanship my great uncle used to build boats. It's a dying art. Nice to see the tradition being kept alive.

Hi Tony great boat, I am from BC, do you build them for salel as well?
No, sorry
Hi Tony it's interesting that you call the thwarts taughts we call them taughts here in south east Ireland too, beautiful boat.
Good job but I would have put in a larger motor not a hit or miss .. 👍👍 .............
Hit and miss motors like this are historically correct for boats like this.
@@paulbriggs3072 , ok
These engines are make and breaks not hit and miss.
I would have just put in a small diesel .. but that's just me ..
КЛАСС.....
Now there’s a job well done…….
Is the term 'rodney' misapplied to boats like this?
Yes. Rodney or punt is a smaller rowboat that was towed behind a motorboat.
@@tonyt5004 Ah, thank-you.
I can build a boat too. I just need $200,000 dollars worth of saws and tools. And of course a huge garage and workshop. How exciting.
Have the planking butt seams on the center of a rib given you any trouble.
