This makes me cry I lost my grandad and at the time i was playing this. I would just sit in the sanctuary thinking about it, in a way it makes me feel peaceful but also scared. He was very close to me and will always be my hero ❤️ Thankyou for this music it helps heal me a bit.
Sometimes, when I'm deeply upset from this world I lock myself in my room and listen to this for hours. Make me so peaceful... reminds me of simpler times because this was one of the last videogames I played with a friend... I miss him so much and I miss 2010 so bad... Thank you Fable
You don't see good third person games like these anymore, great action, great characters, great villains and great sounding music. Shatters my heart when these games are overshadowed by others
Bravo sir! Great comment. I’m a veteran gamer in my 50’s and I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Reminded me so much of earlier games like Legaia and Breath of Fire. A superb story held together by slight Monty Python style humour and, as you wrote, an epic soundtrack. Thanks for making me feel like I’m not on my own with these views. 👍
Fable 3 was mediocre even for Fable standards, let alone RPG standards. Decent game but no masterpiece in any sense. It had great music though. I have roughly 100 hours in Fable 3 so this isn't coming from a place of hate, I loved the game. But it had flaws.
I remember back when I was trying to find all the gnomes and keys, I would sometimes get bored while looking at the map and would go on my phone for a bit and when I re-remembered that I was supposed to be finding the keys and gnomes, this song was the first thing I heard. Very calming and helped get me back into the search. Definitely gonna have to revisit this game soon.
it's a good game, just because it's not as good as the first two doesn't mean it's not a good game on it's own. and hey it did have something the first two didn't have: evil gnomes =D
+Chuckleberryflin My favorite was II; still I enjoyed the III more than Fable I. Fable III had a very good story telling (the hero spoke for the first time and it didn't break the immersion); the low point was the game play reduced compared to his last. And don't know why, people have a high expectation of gameplay (like they prefer gp to the story), and if it's not the case.. Well, here the reason of the hate, I presume.
This was the only reason I played the third game. So I could hear this song. Fable 1 Temple of Light slowed down. In each game, it progresses into a deeper and saddening more tone!
There's something incredibly beautiful, and deeply sad about this song; and I come back to it every few months; something so familiar in the feeling it gives me
It's because it's essentially a remix of Temple of Light from the first and second games; it's meant to create a connection with the player and the whole franchise
This is one of the most melancholic pieces of music I have ever heard. I feel shivers down my spine, the cold creeping into my lungs. I feel solitude, sickness, and death. Slow decay of the body and the mind, the deecay of humans and their morality is upon us, everything is lost. This is a masterpiece. Simplistic, haunting, emotional.
This music gets my imagination going. So easy to picture the Hero/Heroine of Brightwall standing on a mountainside beneath a bright moon, looking across Albion as it stretches out before them.
I remember playing this game when I was younger and my dad was always spectating me... I'm graduating from high school this year...this game is an absolute legend
Growing up mostly with Fable 3, i have such a big connection to it. I was only 5 when this game came out, my dad got it when i was 7, i used to fight Hobbes on his account, he had finished the game a few times. I just finished it myself, it was honestly such a good game. My perspective may change once i start/finish 2 and buy the first fable, but i will always have this game in my heart.
My life-time favorite soundtrack, I sleep on it, since Fable 1 I used to hang out inside demon door more than anywhere else in the game :P I was shocked how they managed to pull out this soundtrack further more in Fable III, this remake sends chills in my entire body... Thank you Russell Shaw, Danny Elfman, and Lion Head, for this MASTER PIECE. Chris
It's sad... I just visited the old abandoned mall in my town, seeing the old Sears, Dillards, and the former Gamestop sign where I picked up my preorder of Fable III on the Xbox 360...
i remember sitting on the couch watching my dad play this game. this feels like so long ago. now my dad hates me and treats me like a slave and i have mental health issues. but this reminds me of a happier time i wish i could go back to.
I've never played a Fable before and have just came across this soundtrack. But this one is amazing so mesmeric... it makes me think of simpler times when I was younger and when there was not a care in the world.
Always thought about how cool it would be to have the power of the Sanctuary in real life. Your own pocket dimension that you can access literally whenever you want even in the middle of danger. Some people chasing you down an alley to rob you? Go to the Sanctuary and just wait them out with a nap or something then come back. It also means you're never homeless and can essentially live anywhere since you can use it to store all your goods and probably live there if you wanted to. And then theres the map that lets you teleport to places you've already been. Shitty ingame mechanic but man, it would be a cool real life power.
@StarSharpedo That's exactly how I feel everytime! :O I get really nostalgic for the first game whenever I play Fable 3 and Walter tells me about my mother/father and the Heroes. It's so weird being so many years into the future of Albion xD
Which version of this song do you guys like best (vote): Fable 1's, 2's, or this? I think I'll personally vote for Fable twos version, though this is so close behind.
The fable series had this unique aspect that there were always these very calm and peaceful places somewhere hidden in the world. If I remember correctly this place was behind this bridge you had to repair first, right? In fable 2 the demon doors where also so beautiful, especially the one which was dedicated to the one person from the dev team who passed away.
i agree every time i go into the sanctuary i say aloud "shut up jasper or fuck off" but he just talks so i just go into the armoury or the dressing room straight away but then at the end when the darkness comes to albion i didnt have enought money to save everyone so everyone in albion died and i was just walking round town no one say "hello your majesy" or any thing so when i went into the sanctuary i was actualy happy that he was talking to me so when i went in i said finaly someone to talk to
Fable 2 and Fable 3 have too big of a time gap. When did the hero build the sanctuary? How did Walter and the hero first meet? How did the hero die? A lot of questions are unanswered.
It’s just been assumed that the hero of Bowerstone died of old age since it’s claimed the ones belonging to the bloodline live longer than most people and if you think about it the game takes place 50 years between fable 2/3
I love this game, I mean, thh it was a devolution before what Fable 2 managed to pull off, but I loved the story, being king and seeing Industrial Albion. Also I loved some object descriptions would give you hints to the future of some Fable 2's characters.

This sounds like a very slow version of " temple of avo" can you hear it?
that's the point, yes, one of the main theme of Fable
+Christine Gomez Aye, and in F2 it's "marcus memorial" if I don't say bullshit.
Zuber Commodore The reason why it is called Marcus memorial it because the last demon door plays temple of avo
I just heard it vaguely and I sped it up right before I saw this. Just WOW. I can't believe I've missed that for all these years
Christine Gomez if u turn it up to 2x speed u can hear it its definitely a slowed version
