My grandparents showed me your songs.i have never heard of you before but now I can not stop listening to you. My grandparents went to your concert, they love you
@marcosanguilleraroura. “We will have to go to the Celtic land…”. I hope you do. Think about all those survivors of the Famine who fled to the North Americas and Australasia to form the egalitarian character of those 2 continents.
Feck...I am proud as hell to have lived in the place...imagine if you were born in it, or have its blood in ye....not that I am not proud to be Chilean, is just that having lived in the land of O´Higgins, it was just the crowing jewel....well done Seán, you stir feelings even on us who are not irish....good man yourself....
From a Scotsman's point of view his voice seems to breath Ireland in his every word, so rich and deep and yet soft, compelling and trusting. I can listen to his songs all night long. Gan yersel lad - many thanks.
Great song, Sean Keane. My Grandfather left his home in Moat, Killimor, Co. Galway for Lee, MA in 1947. He passed away in 2015 and I miss him every day. This song stirs memories of him and of the tales he would tell of his native land
I'm a grandfather, to Padraig and Damhnaic. I don't paint, play the Uilleann Pipes, didn't escape the famine and do not possess a painting by my grandfather which hangs o'er my head. Every time I see the boys, this song, Sean's voice singing it, goes through my head.
A beautiful song Sean you have a wonderful voice and I always went to salthill in galway for weekends as a young child and I love to sing along with your songs thanks for another beautiful song Sean
@kieron McBrearty "Thank you I was in tears..." the Uilleann Pipes. You name suggests that your father and unkles, both sides, fell down on their duties.
I live ten minutes from his house an still go to his concerts and Delores of course mat plays local a lot an pat just released his first CD two months ago
Sean thanks for a brilliant night in Dunlewey last year. Sorry i couldnt make it to youre last gig there but looking forward to seeing you soon. Mabye out on Tory. Have signed up another few fans since.
@Niall Ireland "Doesn’t matter we’re..." Far be it from me to want to be criticising another plastic paddy but, its "...where you were born, if you're Irish..." Like the English, themselves, the English language is tricky and the joke they play on the World is the apostrophe.
The person (Imal00ter20) who said "I'd like to hear it pre-autotune." Must have yet to listen to ANY song by Sean Keane, because if they did they would have felt way too stupid to type what they just did.. Go listen to his live May Morning Dew performance and say thats auto tuned you fool.
I see you didn't respond to me directly, making it so I had very little chance of actually seeing your comment calling me a stupid fool. Notes that are obviously autotuned within the first two minutes of the song can be located at 0:19, 0:38, 0:56, 1:06,1:24, and that's casually listening to less than half of the song.
+folkblueroots I detest "autotune" as well as "lip synching"...I'm not expert to know that "autotuning" is going on here...there is no need for Seán's voice to be interfered with....he has a brilliant voice..shame on you sound engineer....there is lip synching of course and the playing of the pipes is also simulated..I never go to concerts any more after discovering a certain famous American artist mimed to all his songs during his performance on stage...I heard Enya being asked why she never does live performances...she muttered this and that but of course we all know that she could never produce live on stage which has digitally being produced on her albums in the recording studios...
I hate to break it to you bud, but Sean isn't lip synching in this video. My father is friends with him. Not close friends, but friends. And they've had conversations specifically about this video. One of the most noticeable things being the fact that the swan in the video wasn't supposed to be there, it just showed up, and Sean had the blessed opportunity to actually be able to sing to the swan. I can tell you first hand that Sean was actually singing in this video -he wasn't just miming it.
My grandparents showed me your songs.i have never heard of you before but now I can not stop listening to you. My grandparents went to your concert, they love you
I'm not Irish but LOVE THIS SONG. I know Ireland's history so this song by Sean is perfect!
Habrá q viajar a tierras celtas para verte cantar en directo 😊

Matthew Horton my grandfather left Donegal also in 1947 for England, this song always makes me think of him too

I live 4 houses away from hi
do ya I live ten minutes away :)
real musica celtica...lo de mago de oz es solo comercio
I'd like to hear it pre-autotune.
Obviously never heard him live
Liam O' Grady I don't have to have seen anybody live to be able to tell when a note has been automatically tuned.
How do you know it's autotuned? Just curious. I've been to one of his concerts and he has no problem with the pitch at all.
