“Homeschooling is about the entire family unit not just the school aged children” ❤️ It’s okay for the older ones to learn to pause for the littles. It helps grow them as a whole person. I needed these reminders and tips today. Thank you for sharing!
Just found this and love all the ideas! Have a soon to be 3 year old and 6 month old, I know homeschooling should be more play for toddlers and so happy to incorporate these things for him
Thank you! I'm knee deep in the potty training while doing math scenario, haha! And in a month we'll add a newborn into the mix. Sometimes I wonder how in the world I'll do it, but I'm also so grateful that I get the opportunity!
There will definitely be a season of adjustment with a newborn. Be gracious with yourself and give yourself time to find what rhythm works for you all!
Thank you so much! I have 4 boys 4 and under and just have struggled so much trying to figure out how to fill the day without relying too much on tv. So many great ideas to get started!
Helpful! My 3-year-old has a preschool workbook dedicated to coloring & cutting, which she proudly pulls out during math time. It occupies her for a good 20 minutes!
What wonderful ideas!!! Thank you so much for your time. This was so refreshing and helpful. Please keep the real ideas coming. I am a mama to five 13, 10, 7, 5, and 3. This is my life and its nice to see others doing the same. It's all about togetherness.. My toddlers like to play with pegs, stamps (can be a little messy), stitch with yarn and plastic lacing cards to make coaster, place mats, build forts with blankets and chairs- they take books and read under them, sand and water tables on our deck, I also sometimes fill the kitchen sink with water and let them scrub the duty "dishes" ***put a towel down first with just a few inches of water LOVE your message
This was so wonderful and encouraging! Thank you so much for sharing! My kids are 14, 11, 4, and 1 - it’s a HUGE challenge to give my older boys time with the littles around. Nap times and screen time is a go to for us as well during this season. Thank you so much for your educational and informative videos!!!!
Loved this! I struggle often with what to do with my almost two year old… some days she will play with our 3 year old or on her own (he’s very independent and plays well during school time normally). I try to get her engaged in play with our nugget couch as a fort or with the play kitchen or building with blocks or something before I start. Often she’s only happy after I nurse her so I juggle that while trying to begin school with the bigs 😅
Love your videos!! I’m so glad I found your channel. Our teaching styles are so similar. Thanks for making these videos. I’ve already seen some things in your shop that I want to get. ❤
Thank you so much! This was so informative! I have followed your instagram for a while now but didn't realize you had a youtube page. Love this so much.
Could you link some of the toys you have for them? Trying to find the little dress up puzzle people and the foam shape toys! Love this so much! I have a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old. Trying to find some engaging activities for the oldest to start him on his learning path!
I like these ideas...but how do the 7 and 9 year old do school work while the little one does playhouse? Mine would either want to do play dough or be super distracted as playdough is gling all over ..lol! Maybe my little son is just cray.😅
This was fantastic and totally helped get some ideas inspired. Just subscribed. Looking forward to following along. I also have a channel and right now it’s mainly about homeschooling. It would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊

You’re welcome! I’m glad it was something you needed for today!
Great comment! I found myself nodding along with this statement, watching my older children pause & care for the younger ones is so heart warming!
Such an encouraging video! My toddler likes to throw crayons in my coffee when I’m not looking 😂
I just snorted my coffee out of my nose reading that! 🤣 That is sooo my toddler. Thank you for sharing!

Does your almost 2 year old like to be worn? I’ve definitely been there- wearing a child while teaching!

I’m really curious how did you instill the rule of no screen time for older kids during the week but having little ones do please?
What is the name of that folder your kids use for Morning Time?
Hi there! Could you please link your menus for morning time rhythm? Thank you so much! Grateful for your content ❤
PS: Like where can I purchase the clear menus I mean 😉💗
You can find them here!

Mine our 8 and 10 now and they just understand that they get to play after their work is done!
What kind of tv shows do you recommend for your littles? ♥️ I have an almost 2 year old and almost 5 year old
We love the PBS station!
Where can I find your spotify list? :)
In the search bar you can search for Summer- Treehouse Nature Study (or whichever season). You can also just search Treehouse Schoolhouse!
@@TreehouseSchoolhouse Thank you!
How much time do you spend washing the menus?
We just erase them with an eraser or wipe them off with a cloth...not long at all!

How do you find a show boring enough that the older kids don't try to watch it? Also how do you keep the noise form distraction the school aged kids?
The younger kids will watch something upstairs!
