hey Jesse, I had a pretty tough day today. I'm a mom of 2 and had a hard time with my younger child. I have a fractured femer and my fiance has been working since 8 this morning and won't be back until much later tonight. As you can imagine, I've had a tough day. To calm myself down knowing my son is teething and is going through terrible twos, I put on this video to help me out. My daughter likes watching you with me and my son went from screaming to being captivated by you talking and laughing when you were being your bubbly self and I just wanted to say thank you so much not only for the awesome content you make but also giving me a moment of peace on a day that was very hectic and a little stressful. :) I look forward to watching you continue your content!
I was sitting on this book for a year, and finally read it today. I loved it! It made me appreciate my geeky self a little more, as I tend to hide it to seem "normal", it inspired me to just be myself.
I loved the book. I wish there could be away for a second book to come out. But I know that it was write for a one book only type of deal. But I just love the characters, and all of the fandom hints that were poping up in the book.
I bought the book as soon as I saw this video and let me just say it was so good! If you haven't read you definetly should. I actually read the book twice.
Don't say "whuppah", when you say "whuppah" you become Chandler in that episode of friends when everyone is making fun of him for thinking that that's the sound you make when you called someone whipped instead of "whipshhhh". Oh my god I'm laughing so hard, how did my brain even go there from that one sound 😂❤🙌
It was such a good book! I was in a huge reading slump before I picked this book up and it did just the job in igniting my fire for reading again! And I just love the quote "Look to the stars. Aim. Ignite."
This actually sounds really interesting! I've never read any books that even discusses fandoms (other than necessary college assignments as we'd lectures on fan culture) and the cover is so pretty too, like I just need it?
I picked this book up at your recommendation from your haul video. It was so cute. I read it in one sitting. I've been reading Clash of Kings lately, and it was so nice to break it up with this light hearted fairy tale retelling.
I finished this book in one sitting! Geez, reading Geekerella made me wish that there was a bigger community of people to geek out about Geekerella with :)
My favourite part of the book was when they went to Excelsicon but I wish Ashely went into a bit more about what was happening at the convention itself. So much more 'fandom' stuff could have happened, also anyone that's ever been to a con knows what happens when you bring someone for the first time and how they react to it all. Even though Sage is very focused it would have been nice to see her completely lose it and drag Elle around the con floor while gushing over how cool everything was. The last third of the book all felt a bit rushed while the second part seemed a bit static. Loved the nerdy references but wished there were more. Overall I really enjoyed the book as well and if you're even a tiny bit of a geek you should definitely get this book; it will make you smile. :)
I haven't read Geekerella, but loving the idea of the geek/fandom twist on it. Unfortunately, I dislike the fairytale in the first place, so naturally I'd avoid any re-tellings. Having said that, it could surprise me. Jesse, I really recommend reading Blackfin Sky by Kat Ellis if you're wanting a quick magical read, I'd love to see what you think of it. :)
Hey Jesse! I really love your channel (You are always so passionate XD) I only bought this book because of this video. You make it seem pretty amazing! So I chose it as the first book that I've read in english (I'm from Portugal) and I LOVED the story and all the hollywood references! It was an incredible reading so I wanted to THANK YOU for making me want to buy this fantastic book!
Thank you for what you do, you channel has really changed my life for the better. I was in a reading slump in the past months, and this video really helped me get out of it! I just finished the Divergent book, and I liked it, what about you?
I recommend you Cinder & Ella by Kelly Oram, and I'm sorry to say that Geekerella is a lot like this one. I'm not saying that Geekerella is not a good book, I liked it very much, but stil...
I read Cinder and Ella before geekerella and I liked it more so I didn't enjoy geekerella as much because I have already read something so similar but with a better plot
I read Geekerella, and I LOVED IT! So obsessed! It actually got me out of my reading slump, so THANK YOU Geekerella!
I've just finished Geekerella and loved it just as much as you did. Loved it's unique take on such a retold and beloved fairy tale :)
Jesse Ever After same! It was next to me when i watched this video!

I quote from my parents: "You can't spend it all on books!"
My answer: "Not all at once."
I'm buying this book.
also I need some help, I want to read infernal devices/mortal instruments, but I don't know if I should get the original covers or the new ones
I have all the original covers- I'm just nostalgic like that, but the new ones are really cool too- so it's up to your preference!
I read Cinder and Ella before geekerella and I liked it more so I didn't enjoy geekerella as much because I have already read something so similar but with a better plot
