Come off it. What's a team's bad form got to do with someone's friggin' ponytail? That's a harsh assessment that is unwarranted. Truth is, majority of the cowboys players are below their best and down on confidence as a result of consecutive losses due to their bad form of late.
Chad townsends disgraceful kicking game is 100% the reason the cowboys are playing poorly. He never kicks for touch to give forwards a rest or goes for a 40/20, he rarely kicks for wingers or Nanai over the tryline and never ever goes for a repeat set . He is simply terrified of giving away a seven tackle set for some reason. Even against the Gold Coast his pass to feldt with a minute to go should have been a grubber for a repeat set. He is a goose
Not a Cowboys fan, but a lot of teams now are avoiding "repeat sets" because the short drop out means that "repeat sets" aren't guaranteed. Even Cleary the other night before he went off was playing most kicks to the 1m line just to keep the opposition pegged down.

Nope, that is coaching - no coach sends a player out there and just says "have fun, let me know how it goes" - he has been told how to kick and every coach is telling players not to risk a 7 tackle set now.
Drop Townsend and give Clifford another crack. Not sure if there’s another option for conversions but that couldn’t hurt either.
More than that the team morale looks very low. During 22’ any defensive result the boys all got around each other, the team has turned into the cowboys cliques!

Everyone that’s talking sack the coach dribble needs to go support someone else. 4 of the last 5 loses cows have scored the exact same amount of tries as the other team and have literally only lost on conversions and penalty kicks we would be in the top 4 if we could kick.
