Ayyy! Ames is my hometown! When I was a kid, ISU was my dream 😂 It's so cool to see inside of the school, always wondered what the dorms looked like :)
Everyday morning routine for a typical day at college!
I'm a junior in high school and I'm so psyched and focused on going to college and I really really want to go to ISU and omg I'm even more and more convinced to go to ISU and omg you're so lucky! Lovely dorm! Merry Christmas 🎄☃💖

Oh my god! I didn't realize you went to Iowa State! I live in Iowa, like 45 minutes away from the ISU campus! Will you be at the Iowa/Iowa state game?!

so I'm super late, but I'll be coming in August of '17, and I have a few questions. but my first one is does the room come with microwave and fridge?
Mine did! Most rooms don't. Mine did because it are so far from campus.
What residence hall is this and are all of the room set up like this throughout the hall? I'm planning on attending ISU and unsure on where to live.
+Cadi Chiovaro Unfortunately, I got stuck in Wallace Hall which is a 10 minute walk from campus along with the one next to it, Wilson. When you get to the dorm to move in the beds are lofted and the desk and dresser are under the bed and closets are next to the wall. My roommate and I unlofted our beds halfway so it would feel more home-y and we put our dressers underneath and rearranged some things!
+Cadi Chiovaro When signing up for housing I would recommend Martin hall because they have huge 4 bedroom rooms and they are right on campus, otherwise Friley or Helser are the best bets because they are right on campus near everything. Then choose Maple, Willow, Larch, Oak, Elm, Barton, Lyon, Freeman, etc. Choose Wallace and Wilson last so you don't get them because nobody wants to live here they are so far and inconvenient and complete trash

I'm attending in fall 2018 & im doing my housing now 😓 I was curious, what's the difference between an single room and double room?
I think a single means living alone and a double means with a roommate!

I'm 99.5% sure that I might attend ISU this year as a freshman. What are the positive and negative things about ISU?
+Melissa Perez I'm not a huge fan of the school but it has really good programs for my major which is Apparel Merchandising. I haven't made a lot of friends because I feel like I don't fit in very well with everyone that attends Iowa State. The campus is absolutely beautiful year round and I like all of the classes that are offered. The campus is in Ames and people aren't kidding when they say it is all corn. I hate that it's not really in a city and there's not much of a town except for the University and restaurants.
+Sarah Paul Thanks for answering. Are you a freshman this year? If I do attend ISU my twin and my friends will be coming along with me. What kind of people can you find in campus? I'm planning on majoring in physics. Also, if you don't make friends I don't mind being a friend of yours. I know how hard it is to make friends. I'm from Chicago and tuition is pretty cheap there so that increases my possibility of going.

Just got my assignment, they threw me in Wallace. I keep hearing negative things about Wallace and I'm scared.
Wallace is being remodeled which sounds good but because of the 1 mile distance from campus people seem to dislike that. Im also assigned to Wallace but we will see how it goes.
