    I've got a black Nissan Versa Note SV with the connivence package and I've got to say I love it. I got this car before tax and license for only $15,200! That's awesome. The power is great and super easy to drive. I love having the back up camera and Bluetooth. I would recommended this car to anyone who wants 40 mpg on the freeway while having a quiet ride. I looked at a Honda Fit and the amount of stuff that you get with the Nissan took the cake for me. My teenage son loves this car that he has started to take it over. Hopefully I can get the keys once and a while. I do recommended this car a lot!

    I bought my Versa in 2016 and its been a real trooper. We had a really hard winter with lots of snow and ice for months and my Versa plowed through all of it! Great gas mileage too.

    There is a reason that the Versa is the number one selling sub-compact in the US...it is incredibly roomy (seriously - seats 4 adults more comfortably than MOST mid-size cars), is fun to drive and is very affordable. I am extremely happy with mine!

      My local Nissan dealer usually has the Note S, brand new, for about 10K. I was considering one of these since they don't look that bad and for the price you really can't complain but since you own would you tell about any negative things that this car has?

    • @nekoramsay4053
      @nekoramsay4053 7 лет назад +5

      Good: Spacious! Front, back, and trunk are all pretty big. Comfortable. All of the seats are well bolstered and I can drive from Portland to Seattle without complaint. All of the options on the SV and up leave nothing to be desired (except maybe a satnav, but what are phones for?) Price: Very innexpensive, I got a 2016 SV with 30k on it for $8800 with brand new brakes and a fresh oil change. Warranty: It has a 5 year, 60K drivetrain warranty that is transferable to the next owner and a 10 year, 120K CVT warranty. Maintenance is pretty cheap and the schedule is at easy 5K intervals.
      Bad: Makes some noise accelerating, but it's not bad. A little low on power but merging onto the highway, setting off from stop, and passing are all pretty easy. The honda fit is like 1 second faster to 60, but also quite a bit more expensive. some road noise...but again, not bad.
      I am pretty happy with this car. Also, you can add accessories to it very cheaply to personalize it without shelling out an arm and a leg.

    I just bought my Versa Note. WAS going to buy a Honda Fit, but no dealer had any because Honda temporarily stopped making them in order to devote the Fit assembly line to making the new HR-V. (STUPID decision for Honda!). Wasn't able to wait for more Fit's to become available (would need to wait 2-4 months) because my old car's engine blew and I needed a car NOW! So far, my new Versa Note is working out well.

    It's actually a nice car. Having been driving a simpler, fleet version for the past couple months, I do have to say I prefer the Versa over our Frontier. He is wrong when he mentioned that there isn't much steering correction at highway speeds. He obviously wasn't driving it on an open highway with no trees. It get squirrelly at about 70 when you're on an expressway or at any speed on a dirt or gravel road.

    The Nissan FIT is GO! I test drove a Versa Note after buying a Fit and I'm glad I bought the Honda. The Fit's better interior/exterior design, driving dynamics, engine tech, overall refinement, more versatile magic seats, and the predicted reliability and resale is a far better deal for just a few hundred $ more.

    • @Phrancis5
      @Phrancis5 8 лет назад +3

      Of the 2nd gen Fit - CR compares a Fit to a Versa and calls the Fit "fun to drive, cheaper to own, more reliable" and that it provides "almost twice the value."
      The new Fit hasn't been out long enough to judge true long term reliability and while car manufacturer's CR ratings go up and down over the years, the long term average trend greatly favors Honda over Nissan. Looking at the overwhelming majority of car reviews comparing the two cars at similar trim levels, the Fit easily wins overall - even after cherry picking details, like the infotainment.
      Revv match1996 Comparing the long term reliability of an old truck is hardly fair. Trucks weren't beholden to the same safety, comfort, or fuel efficiency CAFE standards as cars, and hence overbuilt with simplicity and cost efficiency in mind. There's less engineering needed and far less ancillary things to break. It's anecdotal, but I can equally say my 20 YO Prelude SH, with the then new and complex Vtec valve magic, torque vectoring, and all the modern ECM, emissions, and safety is still running flawlessly with the original factory parts. Only fluids, clutch, timing belt, and consumable have been changed. Even the never serviced AC still has the original freon. And yes, it was never garaged and daily driven with gusto all those years.

    I have a 2015 SV and I absolutely love it. I love the personality it has and I have to the light blue one, so it’s got even more. The only two things I don’t like about it is that 1. It doesn’t have Bluetooth music, only calls (but there’s USB and Aux music so it’s not that major) and 2. The interior lights aren’t the brightest. But all of that doesn’t matter when I barely spend money on the gas.
    20$ will get you a full tank from the gas light being on, and the MPG is amazing! I get about 25-28 MPG while driving around town. Compared to my old 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee which got 16 MPG, I think I upgraded majorly in that area.

      No music via bluetooth? My wife might be picking up a very lightly driven 2014, but it still has a CD player and aux input so that is good. I generally hear good things about this car; it's a subcompact so in that class it seems pretty good.

    after my Pontiac G 5 decided to finally kick the bucket (9 years and 300 thou km) I test drove all of the new 2016 hatchbacks. I finally decided on the Nissan versa note SR. in canada at least, all of the models of the note come with blue tooth, the SV most definitely gives you a lot more than thr base model S though. yet I had to go with the SR as this package worked out to only be 1000 dollars more, gave you alloy wheels, low resistance tires, sporty overall look, way nicer seat material (almost like suade) and a bunch of other stuff. resale will be much better. I believe after all taxes and licencing it was around 19 grand. the base model all taxes was 16 and the SV was around 18.

      Take one for a test drive and verify that they've made their maintenance checks. The warranty is transferable and the CVT has a 10 year 120K warranty. But they're huge inside and fun to drive while being actually tiny, gas mileage averages about 35 in practice and maintenance costs aren't bad. Take one out, they really are a decent vehicle.

That interior looks like it was molded from a single sheet of the same flimsy plastic you find in kid's toys from Dollarama. The seats are skimpy, the controls feel fragile and the ultra-cheap one-piece plastic door panels would have been embarrassing in an '85 Yugo. No thanks, Nissan.
