- Spending the summer in the Chesapeake Bay has meant fun and sporty sailing! The afternoon thunderstorms keep us on our toes as we move from Mobjack Bay to Deltaville.

The "I know I can handle the storm, but I'd rather go somewhere with shelter so I don't have to" is the mark of a real sailor, there's no sense risking damage to your boat if you can just avoid it 👍
Great video guys, good job getting to your destination before the storm hit. You’re getting more confidence each trip you take. Glad to see you taking care of your home and yourselves by not taking unnecessary risks. Stay safe and keep enjoying the places you visit. Really enjoy your content.
Thank you for the encouragement. 😍
Luv ur Matt’s offroad t-shirt! So glad y’all r making video’s again!
We love watching him! 😍
Yaaaa! 😅😅😅
Nice refuge! Well done. 😎❤️
Thank you! 😁
Good for you! Great decisions. Run, hide, be safe. Those who exceed their experience and abilities often end up meeting "Davy Jones" personally. Thanks for sharing your real life.
Yes! Thank you!
Well done! Phew 😅 ❤
Wise move
The wife and I spent 6 days anchored off Jackson Creek Marina. That channel is pretty special, as we draw 7 feet. I knew it was deep enough, but still...
I hope you enjoyed the stay, we really liked the area. If you stop in Solomons, I would love to meet you guys! We are living aboard in a marina currently
It was a quick stop but quiet and enjoyable 😍
Hello! Love your videos. Picture quality has improved a lot. If you are thinking some updates that would be separate microphones and take wind noise lower. Thanks! Sami
Second question, how long did it take you to get Wolf? Trap lighthouse from there to Deltaville
Honestly I don’t remember. Sorry
I don't know about anyone else but I sail for pleasure, not pain. I do not get pleasure from rain, high winds or heavy, choppy seas.
May I ask you a question? Beneteau top you made how is it holding up i know you open to a lot as a parent. I don't know how you did it. But I wish the best for you
It’s great! No issues at all.
I was wondering I noticed you had a matt shirt on , you are off road, think he would come and help you ?
LOL! Todd wanted one of his tow straps just in case.
No asymmetrical or screecher for low down wind?
Nope, would love one but haven’t had the resources to swing it.
@@Spoondrifters understand. Glad you made it safe
fish traps and crab pots will getyou
No fish traps in my sailing areas but crab pots, lots. I really enjoy the ones with no marker flag. Such fun spotting them, especially in a rolley sea with plenty of white horses.
Right?? 🤪
Yes they’re terrible!
The Chesapeake is treacherous
It can be!
Interesting you do not have insurance. Why ? You would insure a house
We have liability insurance. But it’s next to impossible to get full coverage on a 43 year old boat. If you can get it it’s expensive. Completely different than homeowners insurance.

Most boats only have liberty insurance , even then if you are not in USA waters insurance no good.
