i really respect what he said about the compressor
+Engvall Music I produce for over 2 years now, and I still don't know how and when to use the compressor. As he said, I don't know what compressor technically do to the sound. I know what everybody say that it gives more space, but I don't know how to find that point where the sound is not over compressed or not compressed at all.
it doesnt give anything "more space", it just reduces the volume peaks you choose and the you can pull up the volume of the overall sound without clipping
+Light Light Compressors dont give 'more room', it literally compresses the sounds so any volume jumps, peaks, dips etc. are brought moderately to the original volume of the sound. After this you can make the sound stereo and and pull up the volume to create a more full sound or 'more room', personally I EQ and compress every little sound to suit the track's individuality. Some sounds need it, some don't, but it helps with mixing, mastering and assorting your track with a better control over volumes. Hit me up if you have any more questions.
Compressors are tools that aren't that necessary to use except it can save you from doing a lot of work such as automations.Compression flattens out peaks to sit right with the rest of the mix.It doesn't provide space or help in making the mix clean,it'll only get you an extra 10% clarity off of a mix that's already clean.Clean mixes can ONLY be obtained through Equalizing.

I like his approach towards producing. It's important to not get too stuck on the technical aspect on production and just do what sounds good. Some people can't even make music because they are so stuck on knowing how everything works or are 100% against using presets. Thanks for the subtitles!

At around 27:25, there is misleading part where Jobke pulls up the EQ for Channel 44 instead of Channel 46, where the Basic Sine is actually located. He pulls up the correct one at 27:36, where we can see that the bass is high-passed at 50Hz rather than 200Hz (which makes sense).

+Calin likely either 65, 68 or 41... another note, deniz koyu said to get a nice kick "choose a kick that sounds like a basketball being bounced". pretty good tip i feel

Yes, he uses samples (a lot). Yes, he might not be really that 'professional' or know too much about the stuff producers need to know. But hey at least he's honest and creates great tracks.
