such great parental advice. i never won any nationals but raced my entire life, my dad didn't put pressure on me but did always make me try the entire race. looking back now that i have kids i can see why he spent so much money on racing, all the time spent driving to races, at practice and the track or just riding in the woods on the weekend are some of the best memories i have with my dad. he always told me his favorite thing to do in the world was to watch me race and now i see why.
Solid advice as a dad BD...keep it fun. Quality time with your child is the grand prize. Odds are low that you are raising the GOAT. Let it happen organically, don't force them into "a job" they don't want and leave them hating the sport.

Brian, when u ghost rode ur bike i wasn't ur biggest fan. But since being a subscriber for the last 2 yrs I'm I huge fan. Not cuz of ur youtube success but for ur down to earth, humble moralistic attitude towards family. U may not have won any championships but out of all the ex pros, ur family life has prob made u and Marissa the biggest champions of this sport!! I hope to meet Huckson one day, I feel his pain when he doesn't qualify for loretta's. I know he will get there and when he does I'm coming for his autograph. Pls tell him. I am coming trust me.
