I was blown away with the movie from the start. I was 25 in '77, still an impressionable young man. Everything about the movie was literally cutting edge at the time and perfect. Speilberg can be given credit for giving the World the definitive movie about extraterrestrial visitation in a most artistic way.

The alien who was pulling Barry out through the kitchen door during his abduction (you can see the alien's arms) was actually the child's real mother.
I always thought that was a fascinating bit of trivia.

Lance Henriksen, lives by me in Santa Clarita and loves doing pottery when he's not working. He was born 1940 and handsome. We both have the same white hair. Wish he was mine. Dang..I just don't know how to meet him.

My 1st husband was the spitting image of Bob Balaban (in the glasses) the map reader! Melinda Dillon born 1939, her last production was a few years ago.
    Richard lives in San Diego
