if you heard this, loved it, ate hummus and tabouleh/fattous/fatoyers (Fatoyers - "Flat Tires') and got the rubber slipper upside your head when you misbehaved or for no reason in NOVA SCOTIA: You grew up in the right household - I congratulate your success in life, because you're Lebanese
It's how surprisingly that many of the new age people are listening to this type of music, it makes me feel that a great taste of music still exists. :)
Aussie born Leb here - Love this music, don't really understand it but it brings back fond memories all the same. That's my true heritage. Once a Leb always a Leb through and through!!! can't wait to visit. stay peaceful beautiful Lebanon and it's people.
I grew up with all of this music and Fariuz...forever Faruiz! My father played the drum. I have his beautiful silver drum from Syria. My grandfather was from Syria and my grandmother from Lebanon. I only wish I could see it before my life is over. We have the music, the food and the memory of our ancestors for now.
Ok this is what am talking about. These songs remind me my tender childhood and my mother listening mainly to Lebanese songs. Shout out from an Algerian fan
I'm up and I'm shaking my shoulders and doing the dubke. I was told by my Siddhe that long after we die when we hear the beat of the music, or the mashing of kibbeh or burghul or shoulders shall always shake. How true. Thank you. Naifhe et Salih
realy nice songs...lebanon...i miss you and your lovely people, you've all that a country/nation need you (WE) just need peace (SHALOM)...shalom livanon..."adonai elohim jehova" protect you and your people...
shabbat shalom as much as i feel the pain and struggle of the palestinian people, i can't really deny the fact that the palestinian refugees in lebanon caused the lebanese civil war..without these refugees, we would have peace, both of our economies would have been gigantic by now, and our standards of living would be in the sky and the palestinians could have had the west bank and built a good country...sadly lebanon is exporting great minds and importing stone age terrorists (partly because of our greedy politicians and also israel's politicians) but there is still hope.
