I don't understand why anyone doesn't do the premium. Borrow the money! It makes a huge difference. People say "I don't know if it'll be successful." That's not the attitude you need to start a business! I get frustrated in FB groups when someone posts "How do you get started/ open a TPT store?" There's so much help already out there, like your videos. I have been told you need commercial versions of PowerPoint and Google products. You can flatten pdfs and that doesn't allow buyers to copy anything. I really don't understand why further protection is needed. You mention making 6 figures like it's easily achievable. It's less than 1% of stores. My friend is making $1700/month and is only in the 97-98% percentile. She's been doing it for years and has a LOT of products. I've been making less than $400/month the last couple months and I'm 93-94%. So, you can see most sellers make less than $2000/ month. Still a nice chunk of pocket money, but it's a lot of work in the first few years! Your videos were incredibly helpful when I started in March!!! Thank you!!!
Hi I started my TPT shop in September. I am not a teacher but I have always worked with kids and most recently worked as an RBT. I wanted to make resources geared towards ABA therapy and special education. It is definitely slow going.😅 I’m interested in all the feedback and tips! I have sold nine products since September. My free products are getting lots of downloads so I’m not sure what to do lol😅😅 Love your videos! My shop name is The ABA Farmhouse
Hi there! I have 20 plus years in teaching pre-K through 2nd, so I really want to start things that I see lacking with the increase in academics with the little guys.
Yeah, and it's $30. Just to not get enough money. You might as well just sell on etsy and market there. Teachers also buy lessons from etsy. I'm going to sell on both and on my personal website. It makes sense to make a personal website, blog on the website and sell your lessons there. TPT is great because of the traffic that's always there. But I'm going to try and convert some of the people from TPT onto my personal website so I can cut out the middle man. It makes no sense giving them that much of a profit to just host my stuff...and possibly nit get me stuff seen.
