What a lovely chocolate cake. It looks more like a cake I would make here in the US, vs most “English” cakes I see on vlogs, filled with dried fruit. I was also intrigued by your placing the cake in a tin. I’m guessing that’s what those tins were always for, but I’ve only ever seen them used to store cookies. This is why vlogs are so much fun!

Why do you put the cake in a tin before you finish frosting it? How do you get it out of the tin without spoiling the frosting?
It's so I don't spoil the icing before it goes in the tin. I just ease the first slice out with two knives - it works a treat!
