What a wonderful video!! I was so lucky to be able to see Kongar ol Ondar perform at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California, and it was a truly magical concert. I have never met him in person, but I like to think that his warm and wonderful smile matched his heart. What a treat to have him sing for you in the living room!
I suppose there are 2 songs: - first is Eki Attar and it's a folk Tuwan song. But usually it's faster. You can find translation and it's quite motivating ;) - and second is smth new. It's clearly European style. Tuwans are very open to other traditions too

The only comment I have ever flagged and reported to RUclips was made on this page. It was an ignorant comment about Jewish people/Kraft family. I don't subscribe to any faith but I certainly will not stand by and let someone make offensive comments just because he thinks that he can get away with it. I don't understand why people think it is okay to make violent comments about someone's family just because they are jealous of that family's success. Whatever happened to the rule that if you don't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all? What bothers me more is what this says about the world in which we live. I cannot understand how anyone could listen to this man play and sing so beautifully and have any negative thoughts running through their head. I listen to Ondar because he brightens my day, and because I can see on his face how much singing means to him. Probably the best Sygyt voice of all time. Speaking of which, anybody have any tips on Sygyt (real Sygyt, not the bastardized Western version). I have a strong khoomei and kargyraa at this point but sygyt is eluding me.
Well, when you can sing Khöömei, then it is easier to sing Sygyt, because you already make the right base sound. Just add more pressure to the voice, then it should become easier.

I'm the opposite, I'm way better at Sygyt, fairly good at Khoomei, but struggling with Kargyraa, I cannot project and control the sound very well
Western overtone singing isn't bastardized, it's just a different technique :p
