Great video! Where are the Super Targets located in Minneapolis? Google maps doesn't distinguish between regular ones and Super ones. Thanks!

We came from land of HyVee (Iowa). For me its HyVee, Target and Kowalksi's with a co-op stop

I like Aldi for the prices. However, their quality is not great so I get specific things there. I’m in total agreement of your criticism of them.

Not familiar with several of the chains on the list. I also to Lund’s, Trader Joe’s, and Target. (A Target express … forgive me 😉)

Aldi is a great place for staple items. Milk, butter, eggs. I like its small footprint and fast shopping experience. Great place to buy cheap spices!

This is awesome! I don’t count Costco (or Sam’s Club) as a grocery store. If you can get a mattress, car insurance, an above ground pool and a vacation package all in the same place, it’s not quite a grocery store anymore 😂

Great video! I will need to check out Kowalski's and Hy-Vee...the only two i haven't been to before. That aside, I wish Wegman's had a presence in the area.

I went to Hy-Vee last night and I was very surprised with how similar it was to HEB. I think this texan has found her new go to grocery store!

I loved it when we had a "Fresh Thyme" here. Loved the variety, especially for those with special dietary needs. Prices were a bit high for "exotic" items but were competitive with the other local mega grocers here. However, they closed it because the store wasn't bringing in the income as their sister stores which were in a major populous (+500,000), The city where this one was in had a populous of 38,000 and the parking lot was always full. Many were upset by this decision because it took away a venue that offered goods that the others were not. I loved the quaintness that it had to the warehouse feel of the others, and the staff were really looking out for the customers. It is a shame that they closed it.

That’s a bummer! If fresh thyme was the only place with a natural focus, It’d be super high on the list, but we have so many options like that around here!

Fresh Thyme is a great store, I don't remember to go there as often as I think I should.

Low price ar Walmart equates to low quality. Aldi is really decent grocery due to price . Produce is not the highest quality. Perhaps the purchase the rejects . Bakery goods are also poor. No In store Bakery. Trader Joe’s tops the list.

Love The Wedge, that's my favorite grocery store.

Wedge is probably the flagship co-op of the Twin Cities, with Seward in second place. I want to like Mississippi Market in my fair city, but it's just not as well-run as the Minneapolis ones. I mean it's ok, but I think they're spread too thin.

Solid rankings. It's hard because there's so many different categories with so much overlap among all of them here in the Twin Cities, it's really a saturated market here for grocery. Kowalski's is absolutely the most bougie in the metro. Cub is erratic--there are decent locations and bad locations. The decent ones tend to be franchise-run, and the bad ones are corporate-run. Most of the franchise ones are run by Jerry's Entprises, which also run their own stores named Jerry's Foods and County Market (in western Wis). Those are all clean and decent stores. Since United Natural Foods Inc acquired Supervalu in 2018 for its distribution, they're stuck with the retail operation of the coporate Cub stores that Supervalu negligently ran. But it seems they're trying to rehabilitate them. It will take a while before they're a viable competitor to Hy-Vee. I've also noticed Hy-Vee seems to be retreating from this market. They came in aggressively but really slammed the brakes on expansion in the past 3-4 years.
