    I didn't realize that sequoia's could grow on the east coast.

    • @hikingoutdoorfamily
      @hikingoutdoorfamily  Год назад

      There aren't many of them out here, and I guess it's because they don't thrive like they do on the West Coast.

    Beautiful tree 😊 amazing that it has survived in an area that it doesn’t normally grow for so long. That’s cool, how does the lightning protection work? That’s very cool that it’s something they have considered. Lovely grounds

    • @hikingoutdoorfamily
      @hikingoutdoorfamily  Год назад

      It is so amazing. The lightning protection system works by intercepting the bolt and guiding it to the ground. It basically keeps it from hitting the tree. Thanks for watching

      Right it's young compared to the trees out West. It's rare for the Pennsylvania area.
