Desmond’s ability to portray different types of villain roles and even heroic or comedic one too.Dylan going from no lines to one line to having one of the most jaw dropping scenes in RDC world history.These guys took a good story flipped it, made it more accessible to a larger audience. So I had to come back to this video again because I keep thinking about this. Hood Avatar captures the spirit of Avatar The Last Airbender so amazingly in a way I never got to see in kora. I see Mark struggling against all the violence and insanity. It reminds me of Aang and his own struggle with his responsibilities as Avatar. He never wanted to hurt anyone, no matter how many people urged him too. Here, Mark has to balance his anger when his loved ones are hurt vs the peace he knows he needs to bring by breaking that cycle of violence. There's a way and just like Aang found it, Mark is going to find it too.

Dylan has stepped his game the fuck up. Everyone's improved (especially Leland) with their expressions and gestures to really communicate emotion, but Dylan has put in a lot of work.

I noticed how Desmond truly drew contrast between his two characters Jon Jon who at times is brash and has a overall tuff guy exterior but also has a good heart and cares about the people around and under him and took control of his hood because he didn’t want anyone to go threw what he did so he took a more saskue uchia Type of leadership approach. Where as his other character is cold and doesn’t care for anyone but his self and will dispose of anyone and anything that stands in the way of his goal controlling the hood in Desmond’s eyes he was cheated. Probably had a few hood avatars in his bloodline waited his whole life for the gift prepared for it all for his friend to get it which probably didn’t bother him much at first it was his boy until mark ran. Now everyone will pay for destiny’s mistake and Desmond will stop at nothing to show the world that. Definitely excellent story telling

So based on this episode, Jon Jon is the second most powerful character in the Avatar series. Able to take full combos from the full hood Avatar and get up to block bullets without any strain.

I notice how Leland has a look of suspicion at 17:32 toward Dylan after his exchange with Mark. However, I feel like Dylan didn't actually switch to the shooting nation's side. I believe Dylan is trying to lead Desmond into thinking he wants Mark dead. However, Dylan really wants Desmond dead because he know he is a psychopath, and doesn't want his family to get hurt. In summary, I think Dylan is leading Desmond and the rest of the shooting nation towards a trap.

Wow, this was a magnum opus moment right here. Dylan showed some range I've not seen from him before and I would love for him to play into his strengths more in the future, Mark (as always) had some impressive charisma and screen presence, but fucking /Desmond/?! Damn! I actually got chills from his Jon-Jon speech, something really broke through in that performance and you all played along beautifully! Gah! Y'all real talk, please keep doing what you're doing, at whatever pace keeps and makes y'all happy. This is impressive work...
I am so glad they finally gave Dylan some character arc or some sort of significance in the story. He's basically been a generic side character for the last 4 episodes, easily had the least amount of lines. But now? This mf feeling some typa way about risking his family's life to go to war with the shooting nation. We don't know exactly why Dylan decided to snake. Maybe he felt like the shooting nation could protect his family or that Mark just an enemy in his eyes for putting Dylan's family at risk, whatever the case may be, he is now an extremely significant character in the story and the second main antagonist. Something this series hasn't had ever. Y'all remember, Dylan was the one Desmond called to sneak the Hood Avatar in the first episode, so they've already been allies before. He now determines the future of the story since the shooting nation's plan is fully reliant on Dylan to let them know where Mark is. And the sneaking nation is now also shown to have the ability to DISAPPEAR. He no longer needs someone to stand in front of him, so he is also way stronger. And this could also mean he is now the biggest threat to the shooting nation. We've even seen Leland get scraped by a bullet in a previous episode, so even he to some extent can't counter shooting nation. But with the ability to DISAPPEAR, he may have the best shot at attacking any trap house, hideout, or spot. And most importantly, DODGING BULLETS.

After he got mad and was squaring up with John John, then switched to making me start dying when he asked who tf was John John’s hype man, because one of them had to say it 😂

I believe Dylan is trying to lead Desmond into thinking he wants Mark dead. However, Dylan really wants Desmond dead because he know he is a psychopath, and doesn't want his family to get hurt. In summary, I think Dylan is leading Desmond and the rest of the shooting nation towards a trap.

Dylan showed some range I've not seen from him before and I would love for him to play into his strengths more in the future, Mark (as always) had some impressive charisma and screen presence, but fucking /Desmond/?! Damn! I actually got chills from his Jon-Jon speech, something really broke through in that performance and you all played along beautifully! Gah! Y'all real talk, please keep doing what you're doing, at whatever pace keeps and makes y'all happy. This is impressive work...
I am so glad they finally gave Dylan some character arc or some sort of significance in the story. He's basically been a generic side character for the last 4 episodes, easily had the least amount of lines. But now? This mf feeling some typa way about risking his family's life to go to war with the shooting nation. We don't know exactly why Dylan decided to snake. Maybe he felt like the shooting nation could protect his family or that Mark just an enemy in his eyes for putting Dylan's family at risk, whatever the case may be, he is now an extremely significant character in the story and the second main antagonist. Something this series hasn't had ever. Y'all remember, Dylan was the one Desmond called to sneak the Hood Avatar in the first episode, so they've already been allies before. He now determines the future of the story since the shooting nation's plan is fully reliant on Dylan to let them know where Mark is. And the sneaking nation is now also shown to have the ability to DISAPPEAR. He no longer needs someone to stand in front of him, so he is also way stronger. And this could also mean he is now the biggest threat to the shooting nation. We've even seen Leland get scraped by a bullet in a previous episode, so even he to some extent can't counter shooting nation. But with the ability to DISAPPEAR, he may have the best shot at attacking any trap house, hideout, or spot. And most importantly, DODGING BULLETS.

Dylan switching sides was a perfect example of how there’s no loyalty in the hood exactly what Desmond said
