side effects aside i don't think you should have done this in your arm, my oncologist gave me no choice he said chemo port end of discussion. with the port i had no issues with the IV. i had a bad reaction which was panic induced as well as a minor throat situation which resolved in 30 seconds after 50mg of Benadryl IV push. Afterwards cold sensitivity just use gloves, simple. you'll need to do this for about 5 days then it starts to taper down for a lot of people. By day 7-9 after chemo it should be almost gone. I had the tremors and neuropathy but it was minor and only lasted 8 days. By day 9 it was like i never had an infusion other than some minor brain fog. I had little to no side effect other than some minor diarrhea with the pills. this protocol is supercharged when you stay with the Oxaliplatin. but yeah everybody is different.

A port was never brought up for myself. Every doctor is different in their practice, and I know I am extra sensitive to even common medicines. My biggest side effect was jaw pain and I only did the IV for the one round. I hope you are all well and fine now. :)
