Harold Mabern On Piano......No words! ........Ok, his comping, his voicing, his chords, his motion, his command, his majesty, his quotes, his soloing, his spirit, his history, his peaks and troughs, his command, his maturity! ♥♥♥
I met Eric this summer in Seoul, Korea. Thanks for the excellent quality live!
This is the most respected art form that has no boundaries and pulls from generations to contribute to the present time!!!!
Absolutely!
beautiful rendition by Eric the great .. wow .. he and Harold RIP were so great together
Bobby G...........
love Harold 's strong chords❣
I was here for my 🎂🎉, April 22, my best birthday EVER!
I saw Eric Alexander many years ago at the Pine Grill Jazz Festival in Buffalo, NY and WOW! I knew he’d be around along time all the while playing better and smoother and better. Several years later I saw him at Smokes. Excellent!
Nice to see so many EA tracks on yt I've turned many people on to him one of the best 😆
Alexander the Great !
This was a song in a song in a songs in several others.. fun!
No other words but INCREDIBLE.
So many quotes in Harolds solo!
My wife and I were in attendance that evening. Great show!
Very lucky you indeed !
Where is the jazz club?
n u Grosse Point Michigan, outside of Detroit.
I was there for my birthday ! Best birthday present ever !!!
exceptional pianist
unbelievable band! I could listen to this all day!!
Eric Alexander playing with his band mates from One For All and his mentor Harold Mabern on piano. Such a great quartet.
The best tenor tone on planet earth ... A supreme source of inspiration.
Both Eric and Joel Frahm have the best sax tones on the planet
I love Eric Alexander's tone! However, let's just say that, if if weren't for the greatest saxophonist that ever lived, John William Coltrane, Eric wouldn't have this tone of his! He even 'sneaks' in some Coltrane lines:)
I totally agree , cannot get enough of eric.
Eric is the president. Harold is the father of the president. Eric is a consumate sax alive. From far Washington state to the east coast Eric traveled with a vengeance this east-west rivalry. It seems like that but I kind made it up. I know all this cats from Ougis days to smoke. They have paid their dues. Great jazz rip Mabern. Very good recording. His solo takes me far to heaven. Bravissimi. Now in DC. I miss you guys.
along with Joel Frahm and Chris Potter ...my three fav tenors....just had a thought ....imagine these three guys on stage at the same time ....it's a jazz overload..my poor brain couldn't cope!!!!
Search ‘Bloomdido’ and you’ll get 2/3rds of your wish. Chris Potter and Eric Alexander eating the blues alive at a Jamey Aebersold summer camp. It’s savage.
The pianist !
INCREDIBLE
So beautiful!!!!!!!!!
Liked it before. Heard it again. Absolutely great in every way
Excellent! Marvelous!
A beautiful, lyrical piano solo...

Damn good
Love to be there with a glass of hooch and a ciggy just floating away...

Something in your eyes
Was so inviting
Something in your smile
commercial during this is like shooting baby Jesus in the crib
shades of Errol Garner in Harold's playing...love him.
This guy. These guys. Man. Sounds like a Bösendorfer by the way.
This is Sssoooooo Good,.....and a group of musicians of To-Day (Except alas Harold R I P)
Love the playing. Not a fan of the reverb on the sax though. Puts it in different space than the rest of the band. Very Contrane-ish and gorgeous tone.

エリックは何のために演奏してるんだろう?
Just casually takes a tic tac 8:33
What saxophone does he play?
Ishimori Woodstone
Why can't modern jazz artists a ballad at thru the whole damn song? He should take a clue from the classic tenors like Ben Webster.
Sounds like Eric plays a plastic reed
