It would be a good movie but Disney had to add the gay kiss scene ruining the whole movie for generations to come
@@chaisecumbee6969 and what is wrong with that scene? It is literally 2 seconds long, out of a 108 minute long movie. And besides they already acknowledged the fact Alisha was gay longneck before that scene in the movie and Buzz even knew that long before the scene happened. Just saying, this is not something worth hating an entire movie over in my opinion
This movie was fantastic to me! I would love to see a sequel or even a tv show continuation of this movie in the future!

@@chaisecumbee6969 furthermore Disney isn’t the one that added it in the movie. Pixar did. Disney only left it in after the backlash they got from cutting it out of the movie.
It's because of things like this why I enjoyed Lightyear so much. There were so many references back to the original Toy Story films and sci fi films in general! Such a powerful story and great humor! Sox is probably one of my favorite companion characters of all time now.

It’s kinda cool that real buzz and toy buzz have different voices cause whenever you get a toy based on a character and the toy has voice lines it usually sounds pretty different from the character.

6:42 in the original cartoon (buzz lightyear of star command) he and his old team of rookies traveled around in space with star cruiser 42 (inspired from the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy), could be a nod to that as well

Hold up, a Macguffin is something that is only important to the plot because it exists. A "Chekov's Gun" that isn't properly established is Deus Ex Machina.
42 i think, was also the id number of buzz's ship in the original animated series.
It would have been fun to see a Wall-E reference in Lightyear.

No, Buzz is course correcting and he is writing the math on the canopy. So the pen is not floating in his face, he is using it to write math. And that was not the same pen that was in the rookie’s suit because Mo obtains his Space Ranger suit by wearing Fetheringhamstan (the rookie) suit.

In the german translation we got some trailers with his original voice actor. It was a little dissapointing to hear him having a different voice in the final movie.

you know, about Izzy's binocular hud (3:16).... I'd say it uses the same HUD as the imperial probe instead of the targetting HUD. you know, the thing they sent all over the galaxy and that Han shot down on Hoth?

Fun Fact : Lightyear was a let down, not for two women kissing but because the story restarts 4 times in the first half of the movie. Also, the rest of the story makes no sense (character or action wise), the humor isn't great et the ratio "adventure/talking" isn't great. What I mean : in a scene where all the characters are trapped, They all talk very fast and loudly to make you oblivious about how the "trap" doesn't work (look at the scene without the sound if you don't believe me).
It could’ve definitely been better, especially with Zerg.

I don’t know, but i don’t think this movie is what andy watched back then, so much different, zurg so much different with the toy version, buzz didn’t come with the blade or sox also

I kinda didn't like the movie. It wasn't because of the lesbians, I've got no hate to them and I think it's amazing that the LGBTQ+ community is getting representation! I've got a problem with the storyline. It's just so... bland. There aren't enough moments of Buzz establishing connections, like true, real connections where we can clearly see that he and the other characters are starting to get along. They kinda just... do. There wasn't any big moment where he had to realize that they were important, he just did. Or maybe I'm just a bit too old for the movie and too much of a nerd, to the point where I'll point out flaws in the storyline of a kid's movie. (DISCLAIMER: I mean no hate to the movie or creators, and if you love the movie, I am sorry if I offended you. I'm just offering my opinion.)
