R.I.P. Shobadoo Quinones.
I really miss these guys..
They made a great point about being game for a good beach comedy if Hollywood would make one.
My older cousin Alex took at least five on us younger kids to watch this back in 1984 at a theatre in California and I enjoyed it, but he did not, so after it ended, Alex made us all pay him back the ticket price and never invited us out again. Years later when he died, I break danced on his grave!
Shooter McGavin! @3:50.
SHOOTER
FILM NOTES (for the most notable titles here): _Breakin'_ turned out to be, indeed, a big hit and it also put a song in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in Ollie & Jerry's "Breakin'... There's No Stopping Us". . . . While the original _Firestarter_ was not a highly regarded film in its day (Stephen King once called it "one of the worst of the bunch" of films that were made from his books), the remake from 2022 proved to be a controversy starter when 10-year-old Ryan Kiera Armstrong was nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress of the same year that saw the publication of former _iCarly_ star Jennette McCurdy's autobiography _I'm Glad My Mom Died,_ which spoke to generations of child performers and brought the realities of what they had to go through home to millions of others. That made the Razzies' nomination of Ms. Armstrong appear tone-deaf, and, in light of that and other controversies surrounding the fate of other child performers that received Razzie nominations, hers got subsequently revoked and the Razzies gave the Worst Actress of 2022 award to themselves.
THESE WERE THE GOOD DAYS......
I like Breakin and Sufar Cane Allry, which I saw in college.
So, was the counseling required successful? 🤪
Breakin is very underrated, to me is on the top 10 of my fav musical movies.
Get therapy.
@@twrvoices1 Screw you , moron.
"She is sort of a "Carrie"-like character...flambe". Although I like the 80s adaptations of Stephen King's novels, this was a funny review of FireStarter😂😂😂
I enjoy Sugar Cane Alley 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hardbodies was always different & with a bigger budget/better director might have actually been a low thumbs up picture. It was NOT Porky's or Private School. It was even a BIT thoughtful in a way sex comedies usually weren't
Breakin'-back when Hip-Hop was a legit culture,think ICe-T is in that?
Gene never got over Saturday Night Fever. He bought Travolta's suit& I bet the Siskels still have it!!:)
Breakin is actually a great movie . There's no nudity , heavy violence , no guns or knives . I think Vin Diesel is dancing in one little scene . Thats praise from me because of it being a family friendly movie with decent music and dancing .
I give Hardbodies a Thumbs Up as if I also do with Where the Boys Are '84.
They were easier on Hardbodies than I expected I’m happy Gene 👍 Breakin and Firestarter is a boring slog with a solid Tangerine Dream score
Have you seen the remake? I heard that was even WORSE!
He did call it junk.
Breakin is Cheesy Hilarious
Roger is correct
The dancing is a little bit of fun
The plot is convoluted as heck
Ghetto blaster? I guess they didn’t play loud music in the suburbs.
Very pop- *corny* intro
