Psy revealed in an interview today that actually Suga contacted him with a song he already had and thought would suit Psy. He later asked Suga to appear in it. What an unexpected, but great collab. With the great producer - will be hitting Billboard real soon..

Looks like Suga is helping Psy get rid of his old image. I guess that's what the fight scene was about. If you noticed during the fight scene, Psy was wearing his "Gangnam Style" outfit. I also took it as PSY 200 IQ predicting that Gangnam Style fans would start fighting with new K-Pop fans and then PSY declaring that "nope, old days are over, new is in."
I understand what you're trying to say, but honestly, that "old image" is merely what the US demographic placed on him. Suga doesn't need to help him "shed an image" because PSY is an old-school OG of the Korean music industry. If you were to ask Suga, he'd speak about him with reverence because it's artists like PSY who helped get K-pop to where it is today. Gangnam Style was like one of a thousand hits he's had.

Definitely. You know when an old-school icon comes back to collab with someone of the younger generation like that, it's because they know there's tremendous potential. Reminds me of when Madonna made that one song with Britney. It's like passing the torch while also combining each other's audiences.
From what I've heard, PSY was supposed to comeback back in 2019 or 2020. He was supposed to release "Celeb", but due to unknown reasons, he wasn't able to release the song and music video (and also due to the pandemic). But at least, his comeback came at the right time, and worth it because he came back along with Yoongi ❤️🙌

Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop.
Secondly I love how he worked along with yoongi and got him not only produce but also to be in the MV but to also dance aswell.
Yoongi id my all time fav rapper in the entire music industry and someone I can truly relate too.
Thirdly I am in love with the cowboy concept and vibe of the MV and I have always loved the wild west vibe.
The whole choreo is just like Psy (if you seen his earlier qork you will k ow what I mean) the beat is upbeat and just makes me want to get up and dance along and another thing "that that" chorus is just so catchy as it has been stuck In my head since I first heard it in the teasers.
Also I was just smiling and laughing thruout the entire MV.
