    I noticed your thermal camera is slightly unaligned. I think you can tweak it via the settings, just search on how to do it so as to avoid ghosting.

      Yeah, I know about the setting. This is the most aligned it can be.

      The smaller the distance between the IR camera and the object being measured, the harder it is to align the images (potentially maxing out the adjustment range)

    Does the module support QC3.0

    Thanks for the video, i see you only tested for voltage. is there a limit on the current that goes through one of these modules?

      I could draw the full 100W at 20V without any immediate issues becoming apparent.

    Why do they not come with a protective sheath? And how would you go about creating one if you required it?

      You still have to solder wires to them. I've seen modules with insulation, but they had wires soldered to them already. Heat shrink or capton tape would work well

    why dont they make one that negotiates the voltage needed automatically like every charger on the market?

      I'm not sure what you mean. What is the behavior you would like these to have?

      @@LeftyMaker Like the Anker Prime powerbank, the two USB-C ports can charge or discharge at 100w at the same time

      @Post_Oak_ these are for clients (like your phone) instead of for a source (like a charger). Chargers require much more complex boards.

      They make it! I bought at TEMU:
      PD65W Fast Charging Module with Type-C Connector, PD QC SCP PPS Compliant, Full Protocol Charging Panel, Black, Fiberglass Material, Local Electric/Fixed Wired, Operating Voltage ≤36V

    do current lenovo thinkpad power supply usb C (symmetric round) need the negotiating "PD" chip on the connector end, or are the red, blue, ground wires connected straight through ?

    • @LeftyMaker
      @LeftyMaker  Месяц назад

      My guess is that it does need a chip

    And OnePlus

    • @berkano_plays
      @berkano_plays 2 месяца назад

      OnePlus uses VOOC, which also requires special cable, and this standard is not very popular, so most chargers don't support it...
