- My Minecraft Steve costume for halloween. The body is nearing completion and Im looking for a place to print off the skin basically. I put the face on just to try it out and it of course blocked my eyeholes for now, but I love Steve's face!
Stay tuned to my channel for updates! When I finish the costume Im going to go 'social experiment' with it on in public places!

I also made a suit like this, also with the same measurements "2.25", how could you make it to print the templates of the exact size? .. and what kind of paper was it?
I used Posterazor, a program that can stretch images to poster size.
You should use the original 32×64 pixel image for the minecraft skin, if you stretch it in Posterazor to 6 foot by 12 foot, you'll get 2.25" a pixel.
I had Posterazor output the stretched image into A5 tabloid size PDF. A5 Tabloid paper is 11×17", you'll end up with maybe 70 pages(that aren't blank white), versus 150 pages if you try to print to normal A4 paper, which is 8.5" × 11". Tabloid is exactly twice the size of normal paper.
I had office depot print it out.
I used glue sticks to attack it to the box, spray adhesive works too. You can use clear(not normal scotch) tape to hold down stubborn corners. Normal scotch tape is cloudy.
After your done, I highly recommend using semi-gloss Mod-Podge to coat the skin. It is a clear water based paint/glue, made specifically for coating and protecting things like paper.

At 2.25 inches per pixle that gives you this
head is 18"x18"x18"
Leg 9" x 9" x 27"
arm 9" x 9" x 27"
torso 8" wide x 9 thick" x 27"
Assuming that you are skinny AND tall enough to wear this steve.
If you are slightly larger, like myself, or not quite as tall as this guy, you are gonna want to figure out how thick the torso should be, and then redo all of the math to figure out the length. AND how big the pixles should be printed. Good luck with that :)

Where did you get the skins printed at?
Office Depot. They can print 11"×17"(Tabloid or A2) which is WAY bigger than standard 8.5"×11"(letter or A4) that a normal printer does.
IIRC, it would be close to $150 to have them print all the pages, but they never charged me more than $75 the 3 different occasions I had a costume skin printed.
I used the free program PosteRazor to blow the skin up from the actual 32×64 pixel skin file from the Minecraft game to 6ft by 12ft, PosteRazor will also cut the final blown up image into seperate pages so that you can print it out onto a normal printer. The final product was a 70 something page PDF of 11×17" prints.
If you build one, your going to need to do some math, you want the shoulders of your Minecraft costume to be the same height as your shoulder minus maybe an inch so you have some room to bend at the waist, the Minecraft Head will be much taller than your head. I am 5 foot 11 inches tall, but my minecraft costume ends up being 6 foot 6 inches because his head is 18 inches tall.
I also had to add 3 inches to the legs, an extra pixel and a half. I have short legs and a long torso for somebody of my height, but Steve in the game has very, very short legs compared to a real life human.

Did you have to cut or fold some boxes to get the right size? Did you just go to home depot and ask for boxes?
Did you buy the boxes at these exact dimensions? or did you have to change them yourself, if you did can you tell me how you did it?

CreeperGiant104 I made a costume exactly like that except I used a actual Steve head out of cardboard which you can find at a Minecraft store and duck tape
