** This is my first video I've recorded at night with my new lighting! I think I got decent results, but it still needs some tweaking. As far as the song goes, I found Hail to the King on Spotify through the Discover Weekly playlist. I really liked it and so I decided to learn it. Nice cover, i like it, i just dont understand why you choose to tune down half step and use your bass like a 4 strings instead of playing with standard tuning and use that 5th string.
Because I’m trying to portray as best I can how it was originally played, but also to accommodate the most people I can. In both cases, using a 4 string tab here is best.
In most cases I’ve seen, taking a song that is in an altered tuning and moving it onto a 5 string for BEADG changes a lot, especially when it’s a drop tuning (drop D, Drop Db, Drop C…) or there’s an open note used as part of the main riff (like I was made for lovin’ You)
