you can put your fire right infront of the window of the main enterance and break the window with a pickaxe - i think thats slightly faster + upstairs you can farm the sparks after every restart

On my way to the Kindleswastes ancient spire I found a random golden chest literally just sitting on a hill across the cavern directly south of the spire and placed down a flame altar and it's even closer than this one. Just make sure the chest isn't within the boundaries of your flame altar or it won't respawn whenever you sign out and in.
you can put a flame next to the front door, then just use a pick axe on the window to get in. if you want materials, then smash everything in the building and loot the body upstairs to get coper iron and so on bars and then a body has fully made building blocks about 250 to 300 a time

yep and if you grab the note right there also you get the bricks. you can get all 3 sets in about an hr on the gold chests plus get all legendary items. Little note, glad you apologized to the person giving you that info as most would not.
I use the same location to farm leggos. But I placed the altar at the entransce and put 3 scaffolds on top ofg each other and just jump to the ledge where the stairs are.
I think its more interesting to play different dungeons and reset every hour or so, you can easily fight lvl 30 mobs with a epic wand and you can easily put your base on the highest mountain in the region to get acces to many different areas
Why don't you just build a Flame Altar in that room opposite the chest? A level 1 flame is only 40m, so up against the wall in that massive hall should have you spawn right there. Just an idea. Good vid, very helpful.
Sometimes it wont allow you to place the flame altars in certain places. Also I hear the chest won't respawn if it is within your altar range. And thanks man I try!
there's a WAY BETTER chest location up north. It's on a large flat ground so you just have to run in a straight line, just enough to exit the construction zone of the altar ! Like the menuing is longer than the actual looting XD

Been playing it for around 20 hours now and i have such a mixed feelings... on one hand the visuals and acompanying exploration are great the combat is decent, the crafting is ok. But ever since i realised that everything respawns all the time i lost all sense of urgency. Is there any inherent challange to anything? aside from ramping up the dificulty level in the options? It seems like there are no real consequences to anything, even if i limit myself from exploting the respawning chests. I like to earn stuff through defeating challanges. Seems like everything is given to you on a silver platter. The main thing that is the shroud seems like just a gimmick really since all it does is just make you look at the timer ocasionally and pack bags at apropporiate moment. It's just annoyance, not really a challange. Am i missing something?

I think the 'reset world when shutdown' function is only enabled now because it's the early access, and then it will switch to the permanent '30 minutes reset timer' function even when you log out when the game is completely finished.

No need to climb mountains. This can be easily accessed from the left side Also, this takes too long. There are chests out there that you can reach in 2 seconds from your alter.
I can barely mail. I was progression wasn't character and server base. That way I could go to different servers to get more skill points im lvl 25 and have 114 skill points. I love to make a new server world. Whatever and redo the stuff to collect more skill points
I dunno, I just feel like if your going to cheese the game by logging out and back in all the time to refresh loot, why not just cheat and give yourself what you want? I mean your cheating already
It's technically how the game is played. When you log off to go to bed it resets anyway. In my opinion your logic is flawed. What keeps people engaged and grinding is RNG and low drop chances. If they didn't intend on the game to be played this way they would have put in weekly reset bosses like a traditional mmo. Honestly what else are you going to do when you have done everything??
i think the idea makes the grind pointless if you already have endgame gear, just imo. My buddy did this farm and was going to give me a set but i declined because it kills all drive to play the actual game@@Dekaru_

If your going to farm chests, do it within the games intended mechanics, not by abusing a flaw in a early access game. How the game functions on a dedicated official server is how the game is intended to be played. If you log out of a dedicated server, the chests dont reset
It's not abusing anything though. The reset mechanic is in the game for a reason. If it was not intended they would have also patched that as well. I am very sorry you disagree but this is also an intended mechanic. Also one thing to note. Not everyone plays the game like "YOU" do. Honestly feel you on that. I haven't found a more efficient way to farm yet. Maybe they can impliment some actual instanced dungeons or small raids or something... That would turn this into more than a reload sim. Would love to see that. And make like a group queue system of up to 4 people or something for dungeons. "shared loot - instanced dungeons - queue system" would be cool
i just hope this game doesnt take a crap like valheim did. how did valheim take a crap? mistlands was garbage. 1. to get mana must get less hp and stamina from food (in an area FULL of mountain shards, dumb), 2. lose 150 belt wt for the wisp due ot garbage mist. 3. monster were horrible, and 4. (this killed valheim for me) you meet the dwarves, the only things in the game that dont want you dead and what do the devs want you to do? thats right, murderhobo them. F that.

if you go to the top you can farm sparks and temple building blocks, or if you need mats ingots, paper and other goodies drop from the jars.

ur missing an super easy chest outside in a tunnel that you dig thru, do both for double drops

Meh, go to the temple , pick one of the windows either side of the door , knock it out with a pick and jump through to get the chest.
That would take about the same amount of time roughly as it would to just fly.

Not the easiest chest farm. There are 2 level 23 golden chests on rooftops in the south-west of Brittlebush.
