Yeah pretty much. But I kinda love that. I love when a story takes a simple but engaging plot and lets the characters vibe. If you compare mirabel's distinctive family, to the family in coco you'll see what I mean. Not saying coco is a bad movie by any means, it was just more plot focussed whereas encanto is more character focused.
