After her song "Dzanum" which went viral all over the world thanks to Tiktok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in Serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of victory in WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people. In fact, the song can also talk about loneliness and the ability to have everything in its place one day. Just like Ramonda flower only needs a drop of water to come alive. Hope.

This purple dream is Eurovision winning material - not only because a ballad will absolutely stand out at Eurovision this year, but also because it represents the spirit of its country in a way that makes me shiver in front of this mesmerizing beauty!💜🪻🇷🇸 I do understand the profound meaning because I am half Croatian, but even if we don't look at borders and nations, "Ramonda" is a haunting mélange of velvety melancholia, spectral grace and deepest emotions! And there couldn't be a more suitable voice to share this multi-layered message with the entire world: Teya Dora is not only a heartwarming human being and exceptionally gifted artist, but has the ability to seduce the masses with a voice out of this world. Vocals and songs don't always need to be loud and sharp to cast a spell over the universe, and in this case a dark lullaby is predestined to make this world a better place. Ramonda only needs one drop of water to rise from the dead - and if we look at the current state of our world, a sweet masterpiece like this has never been more necessary than now. Like the flower itself, "Ramonda" grows and grows and grows with every single listen, its putting me in a trance at night and day, and I'm already sure that Teya's magic will heal all the suffering in the world in May. This entry fulfills me on the deepest possible level and it speaks to my soul as if it was born within me!💜🪻✨️🌙

I'm gonna bore some people with history, but I do not care because i owe it to my ancestors.
    Song is about Ramonda flower.
That flower was globally symbol of truce in WWI - actually victory over Central powers, but in Serbia it is still celebrated as a Day of truce.
Since Serbia was in center of whirlpool of WWI and got into a catastrophe of Biblical proportions, it's army and part of nation had to escape all the way to Greece. But journey was perilous, from parts of army sacrificing itself to buy time for national retreat, to crossing snowy Albanian mountains without food and proper clothing, to arrive on shores waiting for allies to organize the ships before everyone dies from exaustion. And nobody knew how far back is pursuing enemy.Than, when food came, a lot of starved out people died due to eating (that's how it was discovered that starved people should be given only small amounts of food).
Than on islands Korfu and Vido, many did not managed to recover from trauma and there were so many that they had to bury them into the sea (Blue tomb).
After few months, whoever survived of those strong souls gathered into one army. They joined Salonica front, week later Serbian army broke through and has not stooped winning until AHs and Germany asked for truce.
Ramonda is a phoenix flower, it survives in most harsh condition and it can revive when seeming dead. That's why it is was chosen as symbol of truce and symbol of WWI Serbia.
Serbia lost from one quarter to one third of its entire pre war population.
That's why we do not celebrate it as victory, but we celebrate truce because it was not a matter of who has bigger sword but matter of human survival.
This song and Thea, regardless of the results on ESC, deserved to represent Serbia.

Sad. All these lives gone. But, Serbs were responsible for assassinating the Austrian Crown Prince on behalf of the Russians, who cared nothing about the Serbs; their interest was to get even with Hapsburgs over the control of Bosphore and Dardanelles passage. Then as now, Russia’s ultimate goal.

      @Asdsfdsf 11 месяцев назад +1

@@SculptExpress-gv8jp The Serbs got rid of him because they wanted to be free from being colonized by Austria-Hungary, which felt so slighted from not being able to cash in on colonies like many other powers of that time. The only thing they could try with was Balkans. Many have tried before, they weren't the first or the last unfortunately. Shove your propaganda where the sun doesn't shine...

Natalija's Ramanoda, known as the "phoenix flower", became a symbol of Serbian suffering in the First World War, when almost a third of the total population died, since it has the characteristic that when a dry period occurs, it lies dormant and dries up, so that with the appearance of water it "resurrects" and turned green again. Rebirth is associated with the fact that Serbia also managed to "stand on its feet" after an exhaustive struggle.

This song has multiple deep meanings… It’s about endurance of Ramonda Serbica flower, which represents strength of Serbian people in WWI and symbol of peace.
But it’s also about hope, peace and endurance for the whole humanity. Especially in todays world, we always need that seed of hope!
And equally important, it has incredibly deep meaning for an artist herself, and it represents her finding strength, love, guidance and her path…
Just like Ramonda Serbica always finds a way to bloom💜✨

Ramonda is a lilac flower that can die and come back to life if it is watered. Ramonda is a national flower(fenix flower), but only with symbolic meaning here.. This is a kind of lullaby for a lonely and depressed person, spending nights in her black thoughts with no sleeping, with no one to hear her.. And every morning she still finds a reason to try again and give a chance to new day

    Lyrics: Ramonda
There's no rest for me, no rest for me
I am restless, I cannot sleep
The night won't give way to dawn
Doomed is the one who is alone.
It's as if underwater silence reigns
I'm screaming, but you can't hear my pain
Beyond the mountain gleam is white
Yet there's no end in sight
This is the path for the wounded.
And there is no one to guide me now
    To Danitsa the Morning Star
The world is pyre burning each flower
Where have they evanesced, those lilac ramondas?
Lilac ramoda, lilac, ramonda, lilac ramoda...
    Ramonda, lilac ramonda,
    Lilac ramonda, lilac ramonda...
And there's no one who would guide me
For all the stars are sound asleep
Saying prayers is of no avail
Where have they evanesced, those lilac ramondas?
Lilac ramonda, lilac ramonda, lilac ramonda...
    Ramonda, lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda, lilac ramonda!
    From the ashes rises up
    A single lilac ramonda.

Ramonda nathaliae (Serbian: Наталијина рамонда / Natalijina ramonda), is a species of flowering plant in the genus Ramonda that grows in Serbia. The plant was scientifically described in 1884 from specimens growing around Niš, by Sava Petrović and Josif Pančić, who named it after Queen Natalija Obrenović.
This is a small poikilohydryc plant growing to 10 cm (3.9 in) in height. It grows from rocks at an angle, allowing rainwater to run off the surface of the leaves. It is hardy down to −15 °C (5 °F). In late spring, clusters of flat, lilac blue flowers rise from basal rosettes of rounded crenate evergreen leaves. In cultivation in the UK this plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Flower is considered a symbol of Serbia's struggle and victory in World War I, with country suffering the largest casualty rate relative to its population. To commemorate Serbian soldiers who died in war as well as the resurrection of the country after the devastating war, people wear artificial Natalie's ramonda as a symbol of remembrance, especially during week leading up to Armistice Day, which is a public holiday.

4:15 As I see it, Teya is actually singing a new version of "Where have all the flowers gone" and if you now that song, you will understand that Ramonda is an anti-war song. Ramonda is the flower which symbolises the end of WW1, and Teya is saying "Where have all Ramondas gone" as once did Marlene Dietrich.

    The flower of Ramonda that finally emerges from the ashes is the point of the ENTIRE POEM...Since Ramonda is the SYMBOL of the ARMY in the First Holy War...which the SERBS wear every November 11 on their lapel Ramonda represents the RENAISSANCE of both SERBIA and all of EUROPE after the horrors of the war..... GREETINGS FROM BELGRADE & ;#13;

Neither peace nor dream I have.
Night doesn't let day break into dawn.
it is woe to one who is alone.
Like under water, over my screams prevailing silence.
    Beyond the Mountains white glow,
    no end looming.
This path is paved for the wounded.
No one to lead me to the bright Morning Star, Danica.
The world is set on fire,
    every flower.
    Where were they gone,Lila Ramonde?
    Lila Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda
    Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda
There is no one to guide me
for all the stars fell asleep.
    Neither do prayers help
Where were they gone, Lila Ramonde?
    Lila Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda
    Ramonda
    Lila Ramonda
    Out of ashes it rises,
    one Lila Ramonda.

@@edmundtory6931 I don't find Tattoo to be dark. And I don't see any similarities in the performance. Loreen was lying down in that toaster the whole time and Teya doesn't have a prop like that. I also don't see any physical similarities between the two women. Not even their hair is the same type.

To be honest I don't believe this song will be in the final. Konstrakta with "Novo, bolje" was my favourite, and I am sad that she will not represent our neighbour Serbia this year in Malmö but I am truly happy that ultra nationalism "Breskvica" with their "Gnezo Orlovo" didn't win Serbian contest and that's good. We don't need Serbian nationalism on Eurovision that's for sure.
