Curious to know what your comparison was of the both. I have stayed at Memories Varadero but planning on Caribe this winter. Seems like a great resort unless you hate big bites and a huge on food selection. Thanks for sharing.

@WalkOnSunshine Just watched your video channel (good walk through by the way) but honesty didn't really notice a lot of difference other than some paint and that they fixed the sign over the pool bar. lol What would you say te biggest improvement was? Did you guys experience many shortages while you were there?
all buildings at this resort had sewage backup issues, specifically building 2 an 3 which were the "Diamond Club". We were a group of 45ppl and no room had toilet paper, or clean towels or bedsheets and there was no food (not a surprise). Plastic cups for drinks were being reused, no beer, no wine. So many Russians and sex trafficking groups, do not leave your children unattended, they're EVERYWHERE.

Wow that sounds horrible. We were there at Easter and had minimal shortages and just a little funky smell limited to really one area. Sounds like two vastly different experiences. Hopefully Sun Wing will respond to you but from our experiences I wouldn't count on it. Thanks for sharing your experience with our channel and thanks for watching. @HiddenJackpots we live near Chatham, Our return flight was into London and we just wanted to be able to get off the plane and go home at the end vs having to go to Toronto from London to get the car then all the way back to Chatham from Toronto at the end of the trip. Great video homie! From a subscriber here on the west coast in Vancouver. It comes down to around $1500 all in for a week in Cayo Coco or about $2600 for a week in the Mayan. I think we can all agree that the 5 star resort in the Mayan Riviera the food is wow and drinks are abundant and beaches are beautiful. But at a grand less for Cuba it is hard to say no. The beaches are better in Cuba. The rooms are someone equivalent. The travel time somewhat the same. I am not a drinker. So would you kinda agree that the extra grand for the Mayan or even just PV comes down to possibly less bugs and way better food selection? That’s almost an extra $157 per day for better food or if you are drinker. Doesn’t make much sense unless as you say you are a huge foodie. Best case for Cuba is you save 1k, a few bug bites and don’t come back heavier than when you left. lol. Sound right homie?
@brumalerie Yeah you're right. Cuba is hard to beat when it comes to value for money and safety off resort! Food though, hands down to Mexico! You can get some decent deals closer to the end of high season or if you book Last minute for Mexico if you look. Cheers
Do you know or think that one could get a banana or pineapple smoothie/milkshake at the Mediterranean restaurant for breakfast? And were hamburgers available everyday at different locations through the resort? I heard the selection diner buffet has a great pasta bar? Some videos show ketchup and some don’t. Is Ketchup a shortage issue at the resort?
@brumalerie We didn't see smoothies the week we were there Mediterranean. We had mango juice most mornings. It is quite thick like a milkshake though lol. They do have a fresh juice bar in the buffet and they had pineapple there the couple days we ate breakfast there.
What a crap show to catch the plane. I think we will look into the private shuttle to the resort next time we go. We were an hour waiting on the bus waiting for everyone to get on at the airport
Hi Paul. We like places that are relatively close to the airport so we have that option and it doesn't break the bank. We waited on a bus once in Cancun for 80 min waiting for two idiots that were drinking at the bar outside the airport so we feel your pain lol. Cheers
That was the primary reason we booked the Diamond club. We read that happened in reviews and I literally said to Karen $40 for the upgrade and I get eggs pretty much for sure. I'm in. (We did hear there were no eggs at either restaurants for two days before we arrived)
The population of Cuba are starving!!! You can go to any other country if it’s food what you want!!! But, if you care for worlds top beaches then take as it is!!!!!! 🙄

We were there the last week of March. Eggs and bread were only available for DC guests. What a joke.
