Does this have another 2 zippers where you keep your pistol in the opening closest to your back? I need one i can position to pull with it already halfway down
It does. Just bought it as my first EDC backpack a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. That back pocket where he has his handgun has a bigger grip for the zipper to make it quicker to pull. Get some Velcro and trick it out, I have 9mm and 5.56 mag pouches (1 each) velcroed to it, with my safariland system next to it. Awesome, 10/10.

Check out the Dart laptop charger. Much much smaller than that monstrosity you have and has adapters to work with all laptops. I was given one as a gift and it’s super nice.
I have read some reviews online, but haven't had it in my hands yet. I really want to as I think I would really like it, just not sure if I would like it more than the EDC Ready Pack I have. I like the looks of it.
I love sling packs (due to my lifestyle right now a lot of time off body is the only way I can carry) so I use the commuter sling 2.0 and I absolutely love it I dont need much just stuff I use daily and it fits it perfectly
I appreciated your evaluation. I am trying to decide which Vertex bag to get-want one large enough to carry my necessary 'stuff' but not so big I can't carry it. This review may have made up my mind. Thanks for your eval. Do you carry a ballistic panel, and if so, what brand? What is in your little 'kit'? that looks interesting as well
Thanks man! Appreciate that! I do not carry a ballistic panel. I may try one in the future but I do not right now. I have so much stuff in that kit. I need to do a review on it. Multi-tool, duct tape, some med supplies, fire starting kit, zip ties, tweezers, note pad and pen, couple small lights, some para cord, water purification tablets and quite a bit more.
Great review! I’m going between this one and their Last Call pack. The straps look like the hold it close to the body which is great for security. How hard is it to “unstrap” and get to your weapon? I don’t want to look like a fish on the deck trying to get to my weapon when it’s go-time. 😂
Thanks man! Haha! You will be good to go! It is very easy to unstrap in a quick and fluid motion to get the pack out in front of you! I am not super limber and it easy enough for me to manipulate 👍. Appreciate you watching!
Why is everything staged backwards in your setup you got the seal on the TQ you have the spare mag inside of a second bag and what's the point of quick access when your holster isn't even mounted. I don't mean it as hate just think it could give people the wrong idea on how to stage a bag
Looks like a good pack. 2 things that made me cringe though, 1 a sealed tourniquet( I see you've addressed that) 2, if you pull your weapon and your holster comes with it, your doing it wrong. Hopefully just set up for demonstration purposes. If not secure that holster!
If I may, one recommendation is to ditch the plastic bag on the tourniquet. If your hands are went the last thing you want is to hassle with opening it. You might have it in the bag because of the plastic part with Velcro on it. Trust me you don’t want it in that plastic bag as it takes fine motor skills to open. In a pressure situation with wet hands you don’t want to deal with it.
To Clarify:: TQ has been removed from plastic. This was just demonstrating and obviously using a new one. Thanks!
I use the same bag for my EDC👍 you should take that tourniquet out of the plastic though. Need to have quick access to it.
It is now 👍. I like the bag for EDC. Has worked great so far.
I carry all mine ready and staged . Good info guys thanks
You can buy ballistic plates for the inside. And the pass through on the back allows you to hold it like a shield while you draw from the CCW pocket.
No armor panel? ;)
Check out Mission Darkness bags and pouches, they pair pretty well with Vertx backpacks
👍👍

i'm just getting into pistols. how does that red dot mount to your slide?
I sent the slide off to be milled to accept a red
dot plate.
Nice review and good looking bag and set up
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and dropping a comment. Feel free to subscribe to see future videos. Have a good one.
That's a sweet backpack. Good job on this review video! 👍
Thanks buddy! Appreciate you watching. Take it easy!
That is some great stuff🤙🤙 I wonder if my CZ Scorpion would fit in that with SB Tac brace??
Thanks! Not sure on that but I do not a lot carry an AR Pistol in these packs. 👍👍
Excellent review sir thank you 👍
Thanks buddy!!
Thanks for the review. Can the ccw compartment possibly fit a 13 inch laptop with case?
Thanks for watching! Yes, I have a 13 inch MacBook with a UAG case on it and it fits in there fine.
awesome set-up for your edc bag my friend
Thanks! Appreciate you watching buddy!
I saw a video some having problem with top zipper for only just using it a day!...u having the same issue after some usage? Thanks bro
I’ve still been using mine almost everyday with no problems at all up to this point. All good so far. Thanks for watching man!

Daniel Obscura I never have used the 1.0, but I do have several work folders stuffed in that slot of mine. Works great for me.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing and I will definitely look into one. Thanks for watching the video 👍
Keep up the good work man.👍
Really appreciate that! Thanks for watching 👍
What about rain resistant ?
I don’t believe it to be resistant,
But I have used it in rain and it sheds it really well.
Is it just me or is there a tint of green in the fabric?
Yeah, there's just a tiny hint of green in it.
any idea what the pack weighs, empty?
It weighs right around 3 pounds empty.
That laptop looks like a Dell Precision if so It needs that big brick.
It is. I kept the big brick, unfortunately 😄
Good laptops, I use Precision desktop a home, I like it.
Definitely unwrap and properly stage your TQ.. also I’ve never seen a cat packed like that? Make sure it’s an authentic NAR cat
It is now👍
the one in this video is not authentic. its a $12 ripoff on amazon
Great set-up. I may have missed it but did you have a LEATHERMAN in there?
Your friend in OREGON🤠
Thanks! Yes, that was a leatherman. Thanks for watching.
Where did you get that American flag gun cleaning mat?? Leave a link!
How about a subscribe for a link 👍

Have you looked at the vertx gamut pack? I’m torn between that and the edc ready pack.
I have read some reviews online, but haven't had it in my hands yet. I really want to as I think I would really like it, just not sure if I would like it more than the EDC Ready Pack I have. I like the looks of it.
Yes, I really like the look of it too.

What’s everyone’s go to backpack for EDC purposes? I would like to see what everyone is using since there are so many great packs out there now.
A medium ALICE pack. I still like the size and layout better than the later model packs.
Hard to go wrong with that 👍
I love sling packs (due to my lifestyle right now a lot of time off body is the only way I can carry) so I use the commuter sling 2.0 and I absolutely love it I dont need much just stuff I use daily and it fits it perfectly
I use the Targus TSB111AP "Dash" since it's an old used backpack I got from a family member.
Thanks for the review. For the other folks that posted several other options., much appreciated. 👍
Is it Water-resistant 500D ?
I don’t think it is. I have used it in light rain and everything was fine. Don’t know how it would do on an all day hike in rain.
Thank you. May be, I have to buy two bags, Vertx ready 2.0 for urban EDC and 5.11 for hiking .
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and good luck!

Could you sub back and check out my channel and give me feed back buddy.

Yeah, just demonstration. Sometimes videos get demonetized if you show weapons 😡. I kept it in the holster to play it safe.

The water bottle pockets on all the new Vertex packs suck......
Yeah, not the best I have used but also not the worst. Wish they would’ve put a little more thought into them though.
If that spare mag is for defensive use I wouldn't keep it zipped up in a pouch that is zipped up in a backpack.
It’s always my 3rd mag. Put it into rotation if the others on me would ever be empty.
Dude skipped forearm day😂👀
?
Nice back pack! Got the same one, in black.
Ps. If that Tourniquet is meant for use, I HIGHLY suggest carrying it open and ready to go.

It is out of the package. Should’ve mentioned in video it was new and just for demo purposes. Thanks!
