it is easier now as if you have contactless card you can use that on the barrier and it will charge you the corect fare - plus if you want to buy a ticket use a ticket machine as you pay an extra fee for using the ticket office.
Wow. Good to know that. Thank you for the new information and for watching my video. Please don’t forget to subscribe my channel for more informative videos. Thanks again for watching and for your comment.
You exited Amsterdam Central Station at the north / port side, however most hotels and the historic city centre are reached from the south side station exits. And you cannot use your train ticket again to return through the station passageway. Instead there is a free pedestrian and cyclist tunnel at your right hand side facing the station.
You are absolutely right. I should have used the south side. But I followed my GPS on my phone and it made go through the north side. Thank you so much for watching my video and for your comment. Please subscribe my channel. Thanks again for your time.
There are two other passage-ways between the gated acces-corridors that offer free access to pedestrians only from the north side to the south side as well (Amstelpassage and IJpassage).
I remember being at Shipol airport. I remember there being many huge grocery stores with every type of cheese. The airport looked very old. But im sure that it had been one of the oldest. It seems now very modern as other major airports around the world has modernized themselves. Only problem is that you have to walk a country mile to get to gate to customs and then to baggage claim. I love what you do, my brother and I thank you for the info. Now let's do it for Brazil 😊🙏🏿❤️👍🏼
Thank you so much for the compliment my brother. It is an honor for me to get a nice compliment from you. I am going to the VLOG for Rio very soon once I am there with you my friend. Learning how navigate in Rio from the experts perspective would be great. Thanks again for the feedback.
I plan to travel to Amsterdam for the first time later this year so this orientation was very helpful! It may not have been the case when you were there but I understand that now, if you have a contactless credit or debit card you simply use that instead of buying a train ticket at one of the kiosks.
First of all thank you so much for watching my video and for your compliment on my video. Yes, you are right you can buy your train tickets with your credit cards and if they are contactless you may be able to use them as well. Just want to let your credit card company know about your travel plans otherwise they might decline your transaction as they will think it could be a fraudulent transaction. I hope your travel plan goes well. Please don’t forget to subscribe and like my channel for more updates and more informative videos. Thanks again for your support. Happy travels.
Yes. They will announce each train stop in the train. Also the next stop as well. But you have to pay close attention to the announcement as it can be very loud in the train because of the train noise and people talking to each other. I hope that helps you understand the process. Thank you for watching my video. Yes. You are right. All the western countries including United States, Uk, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan they all have visa on arrival and can use self service booth for immigration. I have to travel through Schiphol to Enschede using intercity train. But I have 3 languages with me I am really worried how I could travel with large luggages as I don't see any spaces in train to keep them
First of all thank you so much for watching my video and for your time. To answer your question, it is is bit a problem because of your luggage size. But are you traveling alone or with someone? If you are traveling alone than handling three large luggage would be hard. But if you have someone who can help you with the luggage then it would be easier. Have you checked the intercoty coach from Schipol? They have luggage compartment in the bottom of the bus. I hope that you will figure out how to get to Enschede. Once again thank you for your question and watching my video. Please subscribe my channel for more updates and more exciting videos coming every week.
First of all thank you so much for watching my video and your question. To answer your question, No its not US. You have to go through the immigration process first and pick up your luggage. I hope that helps you. Please don’t forget to subscribe my channel for more updates and more informative videos. Thanks again for your support.
As far as I know, going through security in the US is only if you have a connecting flight after your 'airport of entry'. It is similar if you arrive at Schiphol from a non-Schengen country and your connecting flight is to a Schengen country. You won't need to pick up your suitcase like in the US, but you will have to go through security again. However, security at Schiphol allows you to leave your electronics and liquids in your carry-on luggage. Regular security at Schiphol is a bit like TSA-Pre-check in the US 🙂 Again, this is, like in the US, only true for connecting flights AND if you're going from non-Schengen to Schengen or the other way around! If you have a connection from non-Schengen to non-Schengen, or Schengen to Schengen, there's no passport control or security.
Yes., you are correct. First you go through the immigration process first and then the customs. If you have US, Canadian, or passport from Australia, New Zealand or Japan then you get just scan you passport and take a photo that’s it, if you have a EU passport you don’t need anything just use the EU National lane and scan your passport and pass through. I hope that helps. Please don’t forget to subscribe my channel for more updates and more informative videos.
The ETIAS visa waiver program has been postponed (again) to 2025. As a result, you won't need to apply when travelling in 2024. You should however be aware that there is a big difference between having Amsterdam as your final destination and catching a connecting flight at Schiphol airport.

Is there any US style security where you have to scan and pull electronics out of your bag after landing or is it just checking passport?
