  • Currently one of the quickest x275 radial small tyre cars in Australia, the Dandy Engines Ford XW Falcon piloted by Frank Marchese is also the reigning Street Machine Drag Challenge champion. Having run an oh so close seven triple zero ET at over 200mph, Frank took the opportunity to run the X-dub up on Tunnel Vision’s 3000hp mainline hub dyno where they can simulate 1/8th mile and ¼ mile dyno passes. Also in attendance was expert Fueltech tuner, Proline Racing’s Steve Petty.
The car is still powered by the same Dandy Engines small block Ford that features off the shelf Higgins cylinder heads, and twin Precision 88mm turbos along with a complete Fueltech FT500 EFI fuel system and leaf sprung rear end. This time however the car would aim to see over 40psi boost.

So many of these Aussie blokes, make the big power (LS, Barra or Ford V8's), but damn do the cars hook up straight as a die- the entire track length too.
Everyone loves shitting on us Aussies, but we built a straight 6 that is the envy of the world, and we can make them thar vehikles actually put the power down!

Do not mess with something which is working perfectly, as soon as you start to change things like turbos or anything for that matter, that's when things go wrong and normally its a big problems as well?
Also this is the sort of free marketing these days 20 years ago forget it, its all yellow pages and word of mouth noise, now days dandy engines tell you what you can have and what its going to do at the track based on air temps and based on engine and running gear comb's still have not seen a turbo drag light set up, as they do have the brake controller, which holds the car still the turbo spools up, they need to have it set up based on maybe say 3 different brake control set up's and then trimmed on the 1/4 mile just saying, as i said before brake auto controllers, anything with more than say 60hp would simply spin the rear wheels even with a massive hi stall? Its a way of cheating really, sure its new tech, but hey you cant put a 2.5K hp twin turbo drag car and the tree lights go green and she is still sitting there, either spool her up and when she goes green your sending her down the track, not sitting there for 3 more seconds and yet the tree is green? I really dont think its fair, when everyone else is going when the tree turns green Including supercharged engines comb's like Brett's VF1, 1200 HP GTS, get the point people?
