Then this popped up in my music recommendations an hour later. Thanks Apple for invading my privacy and showing me this. This fire is on repeat for me.

This song could easily be released 20 years ago and it could have been a massive hit. Definitely strikes the right nostalgic chords but at the same time it has a modern taste and the classic Mom Jeans sound on the background and the lyrics. Love it so much.

Being a known band (especially in this kind of scene/genre) has to be kinda difficult and stressful at times because you’re always going to evolve and change your sound and fans will always expect something different than what you end up releasing. However, it’s such a beautiful thing when the evolution works and the newer music feels like an upgraded extension of the older albums. Idk how to fully articulate what I’m getting at but basically you guys are still making rad shit that sounds new and still like you.
