This was such a great interview! As a nurse, I was always cognizant of the success or failure of any treatment I administered. My interest (one of a million!) in the research is the long term effect of these medicines. Can we objectify the effects on social behavior? in what ways do we become "nicer"? Do we volunteer more, are we kinder to animals, do we recycle more: actions that affect our communities. I loved the 2 questions you asked around 1:20 minutes. I would think that Christians might say that PRAYER is their way of reaching and communing with the Divine, so why take psilocybin? I would love to see comparisons between the state of ecstasy reached thru prayer vs psilocybin. Maybe the studies are there and I haven't found them yet. Anyway, wonderful information! Thank you! William Richards is a national treasure!
Thank you , i found your discussion very informative and very useful , your guest"s thoughts on per-found experiences hit home , Dr Richards work has great insight and his research is spot on . i enjoyed your whole talk , the only problem , was i wanted to hear more ...thank you again , goodnight.
Thank you for tuning into the episode! I agree with you. If you want more, dive into Dr. Richard’s book. I laughed out loud and had more than a few tears.🌗
Thank you for tuning in and offering your thoughts. I'm so glad you found this conversation meaningful. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Bill and reading his work. If you haven't Sacred Knowledge is definitely worth the read. 🌓🙏
Good news. Also get some "tests" for engineers. Maybe someone gets to meets Tesla. "The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence." -Nikola Tesla.
Even supposed "radicals" disparage the Sixties today. Today's young read Abram Maslow on "self-realisation" and, inspired, go out to make a load of money.
Yes, the attempt by the US Government to use psychedelics as weapons of war was self-destructive and we've lived with the consequences ever since, corrupted, ugly and bereft.

Indeed. We are overwhelmed my scientism and materialism.
Overwhelmed??,..maybe in cases of Limited minds that might be the case…
Drunk?

A sensitive and singularly thoughtful character for sure.
Without a doubt. Bill is such a lovely guide into this material.
