- Check out the latest 1/64 scale diecast vehicles Greenlight! In this video I unbox and review all of the coolest cars from both Hollywood Series 30 and Blue Collar Series 8, both of which are new for 2021 at the time of filming Valentines Day 2021. What better gift to give or receive for that special diecast enthusiast in your home! Greenlight has a wide offering of toy scale cars and trucks here, including TV Show and Movie cars from the X-Files, Caste, The Rookie, Once Upon a Time, and other shows I don't watch. Most importantly I open up and free all of these collectibles from their plastic packages, so that you can see the details and quality (or lack there-of, at times) of all these vintage and iconic old vehicles. Enjoy!
That 77 Fury is like the one they used in the cop show Hunter, just a different colour.
Yes, correct you are
@@wtffor the Christie car is the one police detective drives. Basicly a background car.
The Christine Plymouth was the detectives car, you can see it when he questions Arnie in the school parking lot.
Rudolf Junckins:You did a nice body work Arnie. I heard this thing was totaled...
Arnie: Who told you that?
Rudolf Junckins:Well, everybody, local police, your mom and dad, your girl. Cute girl by the way..
The kid wasn't Marty, his name was Arnie. Marty Mcfly is from Back To The Future and he drives 1985 Toyota Truck.😆
@@gamingclub3396 I knew I got that wrong lol 😆
Nice show. Excellent Greenlight castings.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Keren bagus bagus om,, mantap diecastnya 👍🏻👍🏻
Aku juga sama suka diecast ada hot wheels dan lainnya.
Awesome👍🏻
Great collection!!
What a happy surprise on a cold Sunday afternoon. WTFFOR introducing some more cool diecast.
Right?! I'm very glad you enjoyed it, this was a fun one to kick off 2021 with for Greeny openers.
I'm zonking the fact that GreenLight has wrong axcels I wish GreenLight makes actual wheels that are correctly but nothing's perfect.
you are right!
Thanks.
Yeah. It's so weird why they often get tire sizes, axle sizes and ride heights wrong. This critical for the model to look right.
love that brown ford truck I believe that is the 2nd release with the topper I have a yellow one with that camper shell. great video love greenlight
Thanks for the info, you are correct. I must be blind... that truck is in my collection somewhere
That new Bronco casting is great! I was able to find a clean US Border Patrol one, but the blue civillian version I found had bad paint 😭
Awesome review👍👍👍 love the Mash Jeep....great detail from GL
Great videos,..as usual,.. but lately greenlight has been insensitive to play value. Wheels, axels,
accessories,... the coordination and precision is losing ground. Too bad,...
Hi W55FOR, love GreenLight but, Greenalight should be doing steering excel but no models are perfect and I wish GreenLight should make School buses, and motor coaches but with AutoArt detail.
I agree with you, School buses would be epic. I would have a figure 8 style custom painted demolition derby fleet of buses if they made those. One can dream.
Yes I get your point. When GreenLight builds school buses, there should be opening doors, functional wheel chair lidts, workingsteering, working suspension, working hoods, & detailed engine.
Of all people Greenlight needs to watch your videos for your constructive recommendations because if they did, they would damn near perfected their craft
Jeep for me
I think it would be great if Greenlight at some point got new ownership that cared more about realism. Retooling bases and wheels would make many of these models look more realistic. Often the casting itself is fine but the stance (wheel size, wheel placement, ride height, tire width) is often sloppy. Castings that need fixing include the dodge monaco, k5 blazer, chevy squarebody, ford ltd, dodge diplomat, caprice, 70s monte carlo, vista cruiser etc. The bottom line is that GL needs to spend a couple more days spending their new tools back and forth to get things right. Sometimes the fixes required are minor.
I NEEEEEED that brown and tan ford!!!!!
My dad had one EXACTLY like it! Same color, same year, same shell, everything!!!
I have been working on a 1/10 scale rc version for over 4 years.
I MUST have one of those greenlight versions!!!!!
Harry Dean Stanton drives the fury in "Christine" the detective, he was "Brains" in Escape from New York and the trustee with the moon pie in "The Green mile". Great video, the Castle and Rookie cars are ones I will be looking for. I turn almost all my white walls around the other way.
Thanks for the info... guess it's been longer than I thought since I saw that movie... time to re-watch!
@@wtffor The scene in Christine is when the detective gets out of the car(the ‘77 furry) to talk to Arnie at the high school.
Its been awhile since I have seen it too, I am sure your right.
The Era Savanna by VW is my latest schuco video if you would like to see the one I have.
Nice! X-Files for me!
Awesome 4 .
Very cool castings .
Cool video , big $$$ .
Mash Jeep is awesome .
All very NICE 👍. T V shows today all are waste of time .
Your Walmart is Canada carries greenlights? When it comes to adult collectors in the states, Walmart’s out here carry AW and Johnny Lightnings. Target in the west coast have been getting Greenlights and Johnny Lightnings but not all Targets. I usually get my greenlights at Hobby Lobby because of the 40% online coupon. The Ateam van there is the muddy version because I have the version with the bullet holes and the Regular one as well.
Walmarts around here haven’t got squat lately. All I see are peg warmers and empty shelves. You scored lots of good castings. Bronco, Jeeps and trucks are really nice. Lots of cool cop cars!
Like the Jeep pickup.
These are fantastic pieces
Junkins Plymouth Fury www.artstation.com/artwork/Ka8nYW. Note the blue trim above the windows, not chrome. I agree the trim looks way over blown and too high.
One my bronco i glued the top down and this is dine on other ones as well. Not ideal but it works fir me. The Christine plymouth was the police car. It was unmarked version but the clean look is fine. As for the wheel spacing i take it back to the quality dept. There are clear winners but the other stuff slips as well and it happens in all companes to various degrees.
What a blast! I just went through my stored up greenlight models, Jesus Christ- very therapeutic 🤘🤘🤘
Love it man
Like the pickups Ford and Chevy really love the 80s LTD to me one of the best police cars ever
Greenlight wheels are not that good...they should make it more better
Love the Plymouth Fury.
For my online diecast buy I go to diecast direct.com reasonable prices for and good cost for shipping
And my favorites are always the trucks
I just picked up the two-tone Ford F-150 that you switched the tires on just pick that up like two days ago I love the detail but I like what you did with the tires I like that with the tires I might do that myself
You can always switch them back if you change your mind :)
Love the X-Files Ford LTD and the brown Ford truck
Hey what's going on Owen.. Long time no see.. how all is well with you and your family?
Hey Jacub! Thanks for checking out my latest! All is well here my friend, same for you and yours I hope. Collecting is a little less, but that's not a bad thing. What has your interest these days?
Actually I have trying to find the odds and ends of hot wheels like the special editions and magazine cars and the ones that are little harder too find.. like the Chucky cheese, the whites guides and a few others. But on another note yes family has been good, me and momma has gotten covid back in November but we're doing allot better now. Now just trying to endure this winter vortex we're under.
I'm gonna need that jeep! I saw one when I went to omaha beach at normandie, a truly surreal experience I will never forget, that casting is exactly how it was when I saw it in the museum, thanks for showcasing these amazing castings form these brillaint brands!
Very cool! I want to got to Omaha Beach!
@@wtffor it was a surreal experience, I can't describe how it felt being there, one who loves history, I have done since I was very young, same with cars, all I can say is when you get a chance, go, you won't regret it, I was there for a week, stayed at COMME about a miles walk from bayeux, went snd say the bayeux tapestry, and went to an off the map nazi bunker, crazy visit ill never forget highly recomend visiting, oh and le mont se Michelle was a great experience
Greenlight will do a 1:64 Sherman Tank too this year.
I’m thinking the Fury or the brown Ford. I don’t know, maybe 🤔 the Mustang!👍🏼
If hot wheels had an bro who liked classic cars more.
Love those trucks
Seeing the cars with the wide set axles reminded me of Majorette cars.
But that is not a recent issue with Majorette cars, afaik.
@@Pedroleum100 Im talking about the 80s and 90s ones. Never seen the new ones.
@@MrWolfSnack - I don't know about the 80s ones, but it isn't an issue I noticed with the few 90s ones I know. The current ones don't have this issue at all, from what I have seen.
Do you have a another channel where you race your die-cast
Great review as you did not hold back from exposing Greenlight’s deficiencies. Yes, it’s a $5.00 model but they can do better in correcting their miscues. If it means Greenlight will need to spend a little to produce better quality models, then do it. Charging an extra buck and half for a better build model in my opinion will be worthwhile.
I love the blue Chevy truck!!! Needs a trailer hitch, though
I once used a kitchen nife to open a hood
Favorite is the tan on brown F150, I will be drop shipping those as gifts to my Dad & brother.
Man that Bronco is really cool
were u get the park lot at
Use a quality wood toothpick to open hoods and doors. Much easier on the castings. Also use a sharp pair of mini side cutters on the rubber bands and you won't have to worry about snagging bumpers and such. Cut from the base so no paint chipping. Keep collecting. ;)
Great idea's, not quite as dramatic, but I like!
NICE
Stay well everyone
The green light Hollywood series is one of my favorite series
How do you replace the wheels on these cars because I cant seem to figure it out?
A pair of "jewelers" or small needle-nose pliers works wonders, pry the wheel off from behind and between the chassis. Go easy. Consider wearing protective gloves that allow for dexterity.
@@wtffor Thanks for the help.
Lotsa cool cars!
Where do buy cases of greenlight
Mostly from sellers on eBay, sometimes from my local hobby store
Excellent
