I’m a minute it and WOW!!! I absolutely love your playing, but it’s the way you bounce back and forth into the full mix that does it for me!! I, like many, jam in my room and fiddle with my tone for days, but when you actually hear it in a mix, the tone I would not necessarily love, just EXPLODES in a mix!!! Great job!!!!… and now, for the other eleven minutes!?!!
Great demo and awesome playing Brett. Makes me miss my Shiva, it was a silver back like yours but with the reverb tank. All Bogners are typically dark, not very Marshall-y despite of how they are advertised. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to note. Cheers man.
Bogners effectively use Plexi tonestacks turned down. E.g. A Marshall with the EQ at half is a Bogner with the EQ maxxed. They're designed so that the classic "TURN EVERYTHING TO 10!!!" Guys don't get their heads blown off. Great for Eric Johnson-esque sounds, as well. No real magic except reigning in the EQ. Humans are reticent to make radical moves with amplifier EQs (Turning stuff 3/4, 1/4, all the way down, all the way up - bass middle and treble on radically different settings etc.). Setting the EQ so that it sounds better at noon is a common amp manufacturer practice.
Very nice demo....Amp seems like it’d be good for recording, but I feel like it would get eaten in a mix of pairs more open and present Marshall style amp tho. I’ve found the sound I was looking for in the Splawn Quickrod.
I was wondering why the clean channel on my shiva doesn’t break up like I was hearing from you, then I saw your settings. 7 on the clean channel with the master gunned?! Rip neighbors
I love my silver chassis Shiva, too, but you’re getting some very different sounds out of yours than I do out of mine. I’ve never gotten that much overdrive out of the clean channel without pedals - did you have both the channel and the master volumes dimed? - In fact, I had a bit of trouble bonding with the amp when I first got it because the clean channel was SOOO clean, lol! I’ve also had to be careful not to dial the bass too high on the od channel. Either way, fantastic playing! Well done. 👍🏼
what other modern classics do you think i should demo?

Great demo! Really like your playing, that song is killer.
greatest 2 channel rock amp ever produced
Birilliant demo. Love the attention to detail in the mix and stereo separation of what the guitars are doing. Fantastic work.
bro you deserved soo much views great video
I love my Shiva. It is really versatile especially if you engage/disengage the mid shift button it can do more classic rock or more modern rock
Oh man, after hearing Matt Skiba playing one of these, I’ve wanted one since. Sounds so good! Great vid
I appreciate it dude!

For sure. It’s “British” but very dark. It’s been very fun to mess with!

Sounds great! For sure a unique but ripper of an amp! Always dug Bogner! I gotta get my hands on one at some point
Definitely try and find one. They’re cheap right now!
Song is a flamer

Completely dimed! Haha. It took me a bit to bond too it takes time to understand it!
Anybody know how this would compare to a Mesa mark V?
What did you have the mids set to ?
Commenting for the algorithm
6l6 or el34?
Sounds EL34 to me. It should have been mentioned..
