I purchased a second battery so I always have a charged battery ready to replace the one in the fountain. This makes the fountain truly wireless, and means I never have to move it closer to an outlet to recharge it.

Great video particularly since the user manual that I received has font so tiny that I cannot read it. I have a question: I wasn't sure about your explanation of the timing mechanism. I do like a constant flow of water, is it possible to have a constant flow using that element? Thank you so much!
No, it does not constantly flow due to being battery powered...that would drain the battery quickly. The motion mode turns on whenever anyone or the cat walks buy. The timer mode will randomly turn it on in addition to the motion. The buttons are on either side of the power button. Personally I never use the timer mode because mine is in a high traffic area, but I could see using the timer mode to keep the water flowing if it is place out of the way in a laundry room or something.

Has anyones motion sensor stopped working sometimes? Just charged to full the other day and now the motion sensor only works sometimes and its not very predictable. The second timed mode works so the pump actually pumps water.
If I use filtered water, do you think I can skip the filter? And vise versa, is there any point in using filtered water if I do use the internal filter…?
The filter does help pick up loose cat food chucks and hair, but you do also have a backup sponge filter to protect the pump. I am sure the filter from the fridge or whatever is a better filter than the internal one that comes with it.
No, the pump is a solid unit if you are meaning the interior gears. I don't think I have ever seen a pet fountain which the pump can be full taken part unless I am not understanding.
@@PUREreviews I had a drinkwell pet safe that I was able to take the screen off the pump and take out the spinning gear to clean. It was great to really give a deep clean and get rid of the "slime"
I change mine about every other month and I wash the whole tank once a week. If the filter is starting to look yellow it for sure should be changed in my opinion.

They sell the filters and the little spong thing right here: amzn.to/41XmwNi . You can also buy the sponge things and just cut them down to size as it does not really filter anything but keeps larger bits from going into the pump motor.

How do I clean the little square sponge in the pump? I'm afraid to take it out for fear it won't go back in!

I live in vancouver, and we brag about having the best drinking water in the world. It is soft water too. Do i really need to buy filters?
That is up to you. However, they do help catch food debris if your cat drinks right after eating.

It is a standard carbon based filter, which you can choose not to add if you are using additives. I would just suggest changing the water more often.

Just tap the power button and it should switch between the two options. Don't hold it down as that turns it off.

I am still happy with it. It still works fine and my cat still likes it.

Yes, it can run non-stop or via motion sensor. You change the options via the power button.
