Call the parents of these students next time and try to have a conversation with them. These kids are just privileged to be there. Those parents have the real hard questions to ask him.
The students gave a very good impression but reply of PM is not so convincing or satisfactory. To during the water by the PM is symbol that he is in tension or unaware.

Its not, a minor fraction of the population speaks Urdu, lesser still can write it. It has never been our identity, more like it was attempted to have such status which failed.
It was a grand design at independence to unite our distinct demographics through language but you know the reality:
KPK and Baluchistan are filled with Pushto and Hindko speakers as well as many renditions of same. Rare people even after getting educated know Urdu, its extremely hard for them to understand it.
Punjab is filled with Punjabi speaking people. Urdu has many similarities but its not the same.
Sindh even attached terrorism and crime with Urdu due to the migrant population making a significant criminal cartel.
Urdu is not the flower garden it is portrayed as. In many ways its similar to the situation with Hindi in India where majority does not speak it. At least they are considerate to their constituents and not mark it as a national language. Unlike our forefathers who force fed a language to the whole country just because they spoke it.

The heads of all developed countries, China, Germany, Russia, Turkey, speak to their nation in their own national language. In Pakistan English is given importance in every government institution. Also, all court proceedings are now in English due to which the people are being cheated.

I actually enjoyed his answers. I wish I could be so mature and composed in such situations. If someone asked me such a question I would've lost it. I might not show it but I'd surely be mad inside and would want revenge.
