Now, obviously, that doesn't show in-game (maybe because the player is supposed to make up their own answer, something that happens a lot in this series), BUT it does show in the KH2 novel. While it's true the novels are written by someone other than Nomura (Tomoco Kanemaki, btw), he does oversee them, so they are secondary canon (canon unless it contradicts the original canon, aka the games)

You’ll have to use the drives more for stronger growth abilities, other wise you won’t be able to get a lot of the other crowns.
But that door doesn't have a typical lock, it's more of a bar that holds the doors together.
