Imagine being Dairon having this mentee that you're trying to guide into your important and respected secret order because you think she has potential as an agent of truth, and you run into her in a bar entering a fighting pit with literal shit smeared on her face
@@joshuahicks7798 I believe it is the gladiator in the fighting pit in the first campaign, first arc, I believe. He beat Grog with 2(1) hit points left, then lost to Grog in a rematch.
@@dogied6709 He only won because Kern has Orcish Resilience. Grog should have won, and Matt even said that if Grog had lanced one more blow, he'd have won the fight. I don't think they fought again though. The next time they were there, Grog fought Earthbreaker Gruun (?)
@@josephg3462 He did win only because of that feature, yes. I think that Grog rematched Kern when they were about to leave Wasselheim. Grog won, gave Kern the information where to find him and gave a coin to a child so that he would deliver the "2nd place" medal or something like that. Perhaps I'm entirety wrong, though. I'll need to rewatch the episodes.
@@josephg3462 Also Travis forgot to use his rage damage bonus constantly, including in that fight. If he had remembered it Grog would've won easy, Matt even said so.
I love how Cad called the fight before it even began. This is why breakfast is the most important meal of the day! If you don't eat breakfast you will get your ass kicked.
I guessed that Dairon was the spy and then when Beau started talking to the Drow I was like “ok THAT’s the spy” BUT MY BRAIN DID NOT CONNECT THAT DAIRON WAS THE DROW
Watching the episode back, I’m incredibly impressed with just how quickly Marisha guessed that the drow was actually Dairon in disguise. She mentions a theory before the fight even starts. And strategically, even though she lost, Dairon is like. 3 or 4 levels higher than her based on abilities? And it was that close, even with the dice fuck up? Holy shit. Also Marisha was just so great to watch, monk stance from the start and actually holding patient defense and then the big reaction at the end when Matt reveals that Dairon had two hit points. I love how into the game she gets, and her and Travis definitely feed off each other.
What I love about this whole thing is that it wouldn't have even happened if Beau hadn't decided to forgo her disguise that day. But because 'fuck it' is her default state of being, she got to meet with Dairon again.
Was pretty sad about the amount of yelling that came from the twitch chat during the fight I know that the majority of the fandom is extremely supportive and uplifting, but seeing those types of comments live is disheartening. "That's my girl."
Main character energy.
I imagine Dairon is very used to this feeling with Beau (but she's secretly ok with it)
Beau acting like she has a 20 charisma then immediately wants to engage in MORTAL KOMBAT 😂 thank the gods for Cadeucus with the spare the dyings
I love how excited Travis is throughout it all. Especially when it became Kern 2.0.

Watching Travis go from mild-mannered Fjord to bloodthirsty pseudo-Grog is hilarious.

09:33 Fjord's inner-orc starts showing...
And Travis's.
I love how excited Travis is. It's a damn mood
Sorta like whenever Marisha squats on her chair
when the spy is your hot gf
Beau"The Desaster Lesbian"regard.
Not girlfriend, mentor, although Beau did say she'd hit that, no idea if Dairon reciprocates

The best part about the reveal at the end of the episode was BEAU WAS A HAIR’S BREADTH FROM BEATING HER TEACHER IN A FIGHT
And then Fjord got lost and Travis had to make a new character
Every close up of Sam should be made into GIFs.
2:51 - Beau just got Vax'ed. 4:57- Fjord gets Vax'ed for good measure.
