Frehley's Comet was one of the best hard rock albums ever made! KISS without him never was the same!
You mean " Is one of the best." I just got Ace's Trouble Walking CD today- great stuff
When I think that I never saw it when I went to see Kiss in France 💙🇫🇷
Meh. Their collection of hits post Ace are far better than Ace's
ACE looks so happy!! Gene and Paul can't dictate his playing no more!!! Good for you ACE. You rock way more than the KISS in the 80 s. And nowadays. ACE the guitar God!!
I was there- unforgettable energy in the crowd that night- we had waited forever to hear our Space Aces inimitable tone and magic- he was ON FIRE and the sound was so so good - way clearer and better than KISS live. We were all so proud of him!!!
Wow, Ace is on FIRE here!! Everyone in the band is playing so tight. People say Ace was never that good, I call BS. My hero ❤
I still wish he played like this these days.
lets hear you
I was at this show. I was 16 years old and remember this night very well. The crowd was so alive & people were excited - It was his first major show in NYC since he left KISS, minus one or two smaller club shows. It was everything I was wanting out of him at the time.
Jackie Flash was Y&T on the bill with Ace for this show?
@@jefflanham1080 Yes. White Lion with Vito opened. Y & T was the middle band. The entire show was perfect top to bottom.
@Coogan I still think ACE was INCREDIBLE, seeing him for the first time still one of my favorite shows ever!! Y&T WAS FANTASTIC as always…..Sacramento show…..Faster Pussycat opening!! That’s one of 4-5 shows I wish I could relive over and over……TESLA had just started to hit ( Sacramento band of course)….. I remember Jeff Keith getting recognized right near us and we were with my best friends older sister and her friend, who were gorgeous lol.
I was 7th row center at this show thanks to my girlfriend who went out of her way to get us tickets! I will always be thankful to her for doing that! What a great show it was too! And I got a pick from Ace that night as well. I still have it!
I have my Ace pick from New Georges in San Rafael, CA.
Sounds like your gf had to something naughty to get them.
I got a pick at a Cincinnati show in 1989
Anton Fig is a monster drummer! I have always loved his playing with Ace😎
My favorite Kiss drummer
Did Anton drum live with them? I thought he left to stay with Dave letterman. I know the band changed lineups 1984-88.. again I'm asking....
@familydogg1234 He played on the Live+1 album, I remember Ace saying "Anton rules doesn't he"
Ace always is on fire when he plays in NYC!
Oh man, Anton Fig on drums to boot. I was so bummed out when they came to my area and he wasn't playing. This is by far the best sounding line up.
This show blew away the KISS Crazy Nights show !
The closing riff Into the Night is just pure Rock and Roll.
I was right in front of Ace most of the show!!! White Lion, Y&T the Comet!!! AWESOME
Ace is back, and he told you so.
Nice!
you never lose it. I would stand n line to see him! SPACE ACE!!!
Ace sounded o good! Not sloppy here at all !!!!!!
Ace Frehley FOREVER!!!!!!
ACE è il mio guitar player in assoluto tra i migliori!!
Trouble walkin Tour and Just for Fun Tour's ACE Frehley rocked hard too
Something Moved is such a great song. Still fresh in 2022.
Saw this tour in Hartford, CT in July '87. Openers White Lion got booed mercilessly lol
I was there too! I was only 17 years old but this was a memorable concert. When Ace gets into his solo in the opening song.. that was killer! Thanks for posting this bro!
Saw them at Lamours earlier that year and Ace let me touch the whammy bar and at the Beacon I was dead center for this show I still got the shirt. Ace pointed at us (53 sec mark)when we said He’s gonna play without and Ace in his deck I got the pic somewhere
Way cool.

Anton fig rules
And he had some time off of David Letterman to do this concert.
Saw and met ace many times ,! Their were a few times after the show he couldn't even talk ! Hammerd ! But that's was ace !! When he got sober I think he sounds and plays much better ! Still going ! What a legend! One of the best ! God bless ya paul ****
Awesome...fuckin' awesome!! Those where the dayz man!!
Hi Curly!!
Thanks for posting this. I was present for the Live + 1 recording in Chicago.
Damn. I was there!
One of the best manual vibrato guitarists around using a tremolo bar? Wtf??
Love U lot's and lot's ACE FREHLEY
Feeling totally entertained, as usual, when Mr. Ace Frehley and his prodigious show of.musical work and keen talents.
My hero and his best lineup 🤪🤘🏼!

Just stumbled across this great video. I was there too. I believe Y & T and White Lion were the support acts.
NJPhotographer62 ill have to dig up the ticket stub
Спасибо огромное за это видео!
😭
Saw them open for Maiden the next year. They were much better then
gee that was great, thanku!
Ace Frehley, the Guitar God from Jandel.
My god into the night what solo, and the background vocals while Ace plays his solo are amazing.
If this would have been a John Doll Jovi song, it would have been world top 10, sad
I saw this about a month before at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas. Faster Pussycat Gary Moore Ace Frehley and than Y&T.
Keep the Frehleyizhere27 Vidz coming Tolvis 77
Thanks! Billy Ward was better live.
Eric carr vs anton fig
At this time, 1987 - 1989, Frehley's Comet/The Ace Frehley Band, was WAY better & WAY more interesting than KISS. Ace is on fire here & plays phenomenal. It's such a shame he got sloppy & lost his swagger/let go of his ability as the 1980's ended. Ace's "star" & ability to play with swagger faded from 1990 onwards.
I'm sorry to say it: It's just not the same anymore.
You´re fucking right man!!! Anyway, what a setlist.
Awesome.
Mr. Blackwell nahhh he still has it & he did have it in the 90s, not as ripe as here but still.
Mr. Blackwell, totally agree with your comments about Ace, but for the sake of the argument, Kiss in that period were more interesting than they'd been in nearly a decade. From the back half of the Crazy Nights tour they finally seemed to figure out that the fans wanted to hear the older stuff, not 80 minute sets full of second rate solos and mostly songs from their 80's albums.
Kriss Delaney I don’t know, videos of him from 92-95 he’s playing pretty great.
I think you need to be fairly accomplished guitarist to understand what we are saying about Ace letting his talent slip away right about the time he got with kiss again. He was my hero since I was a kid and I fought and argued for him when he came back out in 87 but by that time everybody listen to Steve Vai and that type of technical guitarists. Nevertheless he had a very unique and effortless style playing live in the mid - late 70s but drugs, alcohol and pure laziness robbed him of that and he was just going through the motions most of the reunion tour. Now its just sad...but he is and will always be my reason for playing guitar.
