hi i would say if you push the budget another 20 or 30 pounds you can get the hive mini . ot tado controls 100 from screwfix and internet with an app on your phone . around the 100 mark

Hi if you have fitted new battery’s and it’s still dead it’s new thermostat time. Just ensure the new battery’s are tip top power wise . And the springs that contact the battery’s have a good contact . Good luck
Not sure if you are still answering questions on this old unit but the power has been off at my house this morning and now the unit is refusing to pair. It does try but then reverts back to a flashing red light on the receiver? Any clues, I have put new batteries in turned the power on and off etc etc if I need new what is the alternative replacement?

Hi be sure you have not pressed the frost function. Do not press reset or it will need re pairing so please dont do that. Hit the down arrow and set the room temp to below current room temp leave 30 seconds turn up to above room temp leave 30 sec and repeat u till u get a green light

RT 500 RF and RT 300 RF . Yes you just need to copy the jumper position from the old unit to the new unit . And remove battery's from old . Please give me a subscription to support the channel thanks

Hi I need some help my suddenly start dropping temp to 5 degrees and I cant go back to normal mode any solution ? I hold backlight for 5 sec did not help :/
@@timeintheuk That is the problem screen shows me only temperature nothing else I hold snowflake button for a 5 sec screen just flash, If I want to setup new temp It drops again to 5 :/
If your unit is a 510 rf or a 300 just re program the thermostat unit and you will be fine as they use switch and jumpers to lock in the frequency and code
@@timeintheuk mines is the 300 unit. ok so i just put the temperature on the box again and when i put the timer on my boiler on it should work? aslong as the temperature is low enough in my house
@@timeintheuk one of the battery connectors went on mine today so heater wouldn't come on. This did help me realise it worked by a signal and not wired connection so I managed to take of the wall and put a temporary fix in place so it would activate the heater.
@@osmanposao on the 300s the metal bit falls out of the battery doorsometimes plus itshard to get the door back on ...or its like u say dead .better stuff out there on the market now however

How do you use the reset switch? It doesn't look as though it's a switch in the normal sense.

@@timeintheuk one of the springs had some battery leak on it .Clean it of with sand paper and it's working like new. Thank you for respond

Have u turned it up and down a few times
It's hard wired to pair so you try changing the jumpers and dip switches .both should match
My receiver has no lights red or green on? What do I do please as my heating won't come on either?

Hi the 300 is an old unit Ur prob in need of an upgrade. Slim chance the power supply is lose or it's turned off somehow

Leave battery's out overnight.. Or you have lost the metal strip off the removable door or the battery cover is simply not on correctly

It’s tricky getting the cover back on check you have not lost the small metal bit in the lid .if you have lost it try tin foil as a hack .

Yes if done correctly but it’s an old unit better to upgrade to new setup

Yep on some 300 series ( small square ones ) the battery door has contacts on if it's not back in place correctly it won't work

Hi battery's out . Get some rechargeable AA bang em into charger then strait into the thermostat .
Leave battery's out of the thermostat for half hour at least .
Brand new batteries often sit in the store for a while so can lack the punch needed to kick-start the display
Also putting thermostat somewhere warm helps

you have it in frost mode . press snowflake button until snowflake on the display goes away

it seems that my display is gone. can rt500rf thermostat work on the same console, at least manualy?
Remove battery's overnight and try putting new ones back in after aesst 6 hours should springback to life

Removable jumpers on the thermostat need to match dip switches on the receiver .that's it
