I know you’re not going to see this but thank you like so much for everything you’ve done for me. I’m a fellow Texan, and I’ve had struggles for a long time. My home life isn’t great, and I just crawled myself out of a 4 year heavily abusive relationship. I fell victim to a country boy, and he basically ruined me. Two psych ward visits and 3 suicide attempts later I’m doing so much better, and when shit gets bad instead of turning to weed like I used to, I just pull your channel up on RUclips. And I know that sounds really stupid, but as all of my friends have told me we’re pretty much the same person and you’re just a comfort. Ngl tho when you started singing country music I saw Jesus for a moment 😭. The trauma kinda built and now I have to avoid country music by any means possible. He used to make fun of all my likes hobbies and interests, and he never let me choose music or movies or anything, so country music brings those memories to the surface lol. So just thank you. Your channel got me through the ass end of high school and the beginnings of my adult life. For future reference, to make the most baller French onion soup possible, you should caramelize the onions on the lowest heat possible for at least 4 hours. I caramelize sweet and red onions and also shallots for 6 or 7 hours if possible. AND DON'T TOUCH EM! Only stir them every 45 minutes or so. You could just throw them in a crock-pot with butter and olive oil for 10+ hours if you want a "hands off" method. Plus the BEST part of french onion soup is the browned cheese on top of crusty bread soaked in the soup. Doesn't have to be gruyere. Swiss or provolone works just fine. It just NEEDS to be browned under the broiler or a blow-torch.

Edit: if you put your onion scraps in a ziplock bag, you can keep it in the freezer and add more veggie scraps to it (look up the avoid list tho) and make homemade veggie stock!!! It's really easy and a nice way to reduce garbage :) it's also a nice way to suddenly regress into an ancient eastern european grandma 👵
