He’s great on the phone.
Just don't hurt the kid. Ok
Oops too late
Lieutenant sex machine, homicide!!
Drring drring!!
Hi! . Great.
Lieutenant Sex Machine Homicide.
What a talent rik was 🙏 He literally pulled this scene off in 1 take without camera cuts! That is amazing
As a french bloke, I have to thank you dear brits for your greatest contribution to mankind : humour.
£200 for a coffin and they set fire to the bastard... LMAO
''do you want some of this? do you? cause your gonna get it you old git!''
HILARIOUS
epic . never gets old
Right up your bracket!
*you're
See this little old lady we shall not fail her. See her ginormous son walking next her , see his mighty tattoos. She looks like the one I threatened earlier. I think he's going to whack me 🤣
RIP Rik Mayall, this scene always gave me great laughter.
causerDAguv my favourite 1 is the 1 where they knock out the gas man!!!
I've been in a nostalgic mood as of late. I've been looking up old cartoons I watched as a kid. Then I remembered this show and I gotta say, its still funny. Bottom will always be my favorite british comedy.
Am I the only American obsessed with British television? I mean. Rik is an absolute treasure
E W definitely. Americans don't have a good sense of humour
@@Facelessman254 clearly our American friend here does. It shows how talented Rik and Ade are when people all over the world comment on how funny they are.
Do you mean PRick? It's spelled with a silent P.
I was always surprised when Rick didn't make it in the the USA. He tried with Drop Dead Fred. Alas they didn't like him.
Me too
that "you old git" cracked me up
"I want him doing 20 to 10 in the pen. Yeah, bust his ass". LOL great scene. Rik Mayall, I bow to thee. You are a legend.
'Youre gonna get it you old git!' lol
The very fact that he snitches on an imaginary child for theft makes this hilarious 😂😂
Not a good idea to watch this while drinking coffee lol
I have that quote on a teeshirt lol
I love how he switches to bully the old lady 😂 cracks me up every time
An imaginary child he decapitated
Started watching bottom through a tough year. Rik has bought happiness and sunshine.. absolutely amazing infectious actor...... and gorgeous xx
200 pounds for a coffin and they set fire to the bastard..
Only Rik Mayall could yell at an old lady and make it funny!! LMAO great clip!
Bottom is the greatest comedy show on the planet ever!
Rik had genius in him, only those who saw beyond the physicality of his comedy spotted it, those merely expecting laughs and slapstick from him never got it coz they weren't paying attention. In Bottom which many took for mere immature comedy for juvenile minds, thinking themselves more sophisticated, the sheer magnitude of intelligence in Rik's comedy shone through like a beacon.
I know what you mean. You can just imagine 'little Johnny Cartwright' in front of him, even though he's talking to thin air!
I'm always surprised by how many people think Bottom is just poo jokes and slapstick
r/iamverysmart
It's like Only Fools and Fawlty Towers, it works on several levels. He's a parody of an English snob who deems himself superior.
Hes a comedy hero to us 80/90s kids
i loved this guy rip rik
These little play acting vignettes he does are my favourite bits.
There is a little bit of Richie in all of us. If you are lucky it's a very small bit.
“This is your name? Is it! Mr “fifty five pence” are you eighteen?…… No I’m fifty four! Now bugger off! 😂
Bottom was class. Just hilarious
ha ha ha. makes me laugh every time. "do you want some of this? coz thats whats you're gonna get you old git! right up the bracket!" LOL
“£200 for a coffin, and they set fire to the bahstud…” PMSL😂
The funniest part is the crushing of the Hula Hoops!
This was when the license fee was worth paying 😂
Nowadays you gotta eat the telly
@@ColinIngus1 Makr sure you poo before you get up
@@ColinIngus1 It's a toaster. Its a telly you yobbo!
It still is. Amazing content and varied content for a cost which works out very little on a daily basis
The old trick aye... eat the telly before I get a chance to nick ya
I love the guy who plays the shop owner. Everything I've seen him in, he always plays a small part and is hilarious
Rico Rico He was in the young ones as the TV inspector and only fools & horses as the comittee chairman, also the PE teacher in Grange hill.
Have a look for a film called Nuts in May, hes the star of it. Classic
He was in EastEnders for quite a long time. A great actor.
Roger Sloman. I also love him as the crazy demented park keeper in Kevin Turvey: the man behind the green door.
Kevin of course played by pRik before even The young ones
@@danw1374 He wasn't in Only Fools and Horses. The Chairman Role was played by Ron Pember.
“Dya want some of this?”
I was pissing myself even before I clicked on the link. That is the power Mayall STILL possesses.
It never gets old. Bottom is still better than any of the contemporary shite they call "comedy" today.
No one can play insanity as Rik did.
2:28 pretty much Ritchies true colours exposed when he's backed into a corner by someone who can't fight back 😂😂😂
Greatest legend of all time
R.i.p Rick, a true legend your sorely missed 😢
LMAO at the old lady:"Wussa matter?... r u maaaad?" o.o
xD
Mayor Dooley......looool
Haha that bit always cracked me up too, typical New York Mayor type name in movies
Nice pic xD
'200 pounds for a coffin and they set fire to the bastard'. His own mother, that it so hilarious.
Am sure that the old lady is the nan on little britain who david walliams character fancies.
So true though
Such an idiot for buying an expensive coffin when she's going to be cremated
Edit: I was wrong, it is her! read below.
Don’t think it is.
@Cousin Balthazar Yep, I stand corrected, Evie Garratt, died in 2015 aged 95, she did well!
What do you mean no evidence what about the God damn Jaffa Cakes ass wipe!?! lol classic line.
british comedy.....best in the world
This little squiggle is you is it? So what you do for a living, some kind of modern artist?
No I am a Doctor, now BUGGER ORFF!
The guy who played the Doctor also did a few voice overs for Charlie Chalk, the late 80s stop motion animation.
Rik Mayall is a Legend!
British Shop Keeping, Best in the World.
AWWW poor old lady
best episode EVER. SPURT SPURT SPURT. hahahaha
Who on earth gives thumbs down to these hilarious classics?? obviously boring wretches with no sence of humour!
I used to watch these when I was at school couldn't wait for 9pm Friday nights when they were aired 😄
SAME
Same here I loved this show. I am surprised it is still on Netflix thought it might have been taken down for offending the sad gits
Oh no he means the holiday money, puts down the letter. SHIT SHIIIT!!!! *runs through the shelves* 😂😂😂😂😂
I have this box set, I never get tired of watching it!
XD
Love this, Rik and Ade are legends.
the bit when the old lady goes "whats the matter are u mad" makes me piss everytime. me and my brother used to laugh at it years ago watching this.
"Morning! Morning! Morning your Lordship!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What's the matter? Are you mad?😂
Days want some of this? 😂
im not sure why but this is my favourite episode :)
Because you like god damn jaffa cakes, asswipe?
Rik mayall, my comedy hero😔
A truly unique and amazing talent.
When they go on shop roof is hilarious.
One of my favourite scenes ^^, another similar one I loved is the one where Rik is messing about on the phone in the episode 'Contest'.
I wonder what he was going to get Mayor Dooley to do?
8 argies disliked this video lol
+Flying Rancid M00n Fish Goose Green? She wasn't bloody Argentinian! lol (That to me is the essence and merit of it's absurdity, it's humour yers yers yars.)
Flying Rancid M00n Fish Johnny Cartwright is Argentinian
Alex Holt aka 'Brigham Palava'
Flying Rancid M00n Fish they obviously didn’t have a smashing blouse on
7 argies & mr rottweiler!
1:25 All this time I thought he was accusing a SPIDER of shoplifting!
Thanks for this clip BBCWorldwide, this is exactly the part I was searching for! Brilliant scene!
Eddie in the background lol
Peter Davies a always laughed at that too. 😂
Way back when the BBC was full of Talent.
i love this episode so much (:
No way I've just found a Bottom clip uploaded on my birthdate rofl
"Piss ooofff"
2:22 tfw you get caught acting around on your imaginary Motorola Star TAC and you remember to flip the cover up and push the retractable aerial back down
I love Rik Mayall's flights of fancy...
pressing 8 makes him say bull-shit over and over again, lol
Argie! 😆
Brilliant , but the Christmas episode has to be the Best of all of them !
'Argie!' lol
What I have noticed as I've looked back through the 80's and 90's sitcoms is that they do reference the freemasonry/secret societies quite a bit so there was obviously an interest in that even back then, before the net.
I thought he was calling her an Argie, short for Argentinian .. as he brought up Goose green.
@Pappy Tron yeah
lol look at the real shopkeep at 0.35 behind the counter dying inside a little bit over Richie and his constant bollocks
Are you eighteen? “No I’m Fifty four! Now bugger off”
"A'YOO MAHYD"?
What about the god damn jaffa cakes, ass wipe?!
Still creases me
Bottom is defo the dog’s bollox.!!🤣🤣
Miss him so much
Are you 18?
No: I'm 54. Now bugger *_orf!_*
R.I.P. Rik Mayall
We miss you so much...
2:21 yeah well im gonna get mayor dooley to..... 😂😂👌
Cant wait for the new episodes, bottom is my all time favourite comedy, fucking awesome.
Pure Gold
Hahahaahaaa one of my fave quotes
RIP Rik Mayall
I still feel sad #riprik
is that rip-rik, or ri-prik? :P
@@XanderWhovian didn't he spell his name with a silent p?
4 people are little Johnny Cartwright
It’s 3oclock in the morning and for some reason I need a pickled onion sandwich
IT'S BACK!!!
Bortom is gone and Jaffa cakes still here. Thats not fair. 😢
Pickled onion sandwich, my favourite!
Love them haha
Do you want some of this, because you're going to get it you old git 🤣🤣
Threatening an oap has never been funnier.
Little johnny cartwright..lol
Richie is just a filthy Tony Hancock, but I LOVE him.
Spot on
Superb
Mayor Dooley 😁
Remember lads, he is great on the phone. :D
@jamesparsons2007 The episode is called (Bottom)'S UP. A playe20on the drinking phrase and also in reference to the time spent on the shop roof watching cricket later in the episode. Similar in name to (Bottom)'S OUT when they went camping on Wimbledon Common in series 3. In fact all of the episodes can be preceded by the word Bottom.
"assistant" hahaha
