This really helps me. I just got my first pair of Skikes. I can cross-country ski but I have never skated or roller skied before. I need help and your video provided quite a bit!
So true. I love the way you can vary the techniques in cross skating, work more with your arms or with your feet, and thus skate for a very long time. What type of tips do you use on asphalt?
I’m using KV+ Tempesta carbon poles. I guess they came with these tips: www.ekosport.nl/kv-vid-tip-10mm-21-p-V00059976.html?lgw_code=9643-V00059976&gclid=Cj0KCQjwutaCBhDfARIsAJHWnHvT0tgK2jSyy4j9uqkU14I8cLGcypAakNWUlExmfo6ydMUn5Nl_UxQaAsofEALw_wcB
Well you were right. On one pole there is a rubber tip cover left especially meant for very hard concrete surfaces as metal tips tend to lose grip. But actually they don’t work very well
Dankjewel!
@@outdoorsports6768 thanks for getting back. Looks like I’m goin to settle for v9s an have a set of hard wheels too so I can train both ways. We’ve got something like 1500miles of rads an trails in the beautiful New Forest to play with an since my accident an subsequent nerve damage to my back, this has so far been the only exercise I can get away with. Trued swimming but, ended up back in hosp again! No10 trip I think. So looks like I’m gonna be a wannabe skier. I’ll keep in touch cos luv the vids an learn so much . Thanks Paul
@@paulcoverdale8312How did you get on with the Skike V9's? I'm down in Dorset and am thinking of giving these a go. I've tried inline skating, but where I live I have more off-road paths than tarmac, so these would be more convenient.
Probably one of the best types of cross-over training for endurance athletes like triathletes
Beautiful landscape.

@@outdoorsports6768 Thank you. At first sight I thought they were rubber tips, but they're metal like mine :)

@@outdoorsports6768 Thank you. That's interesting and good to know, as I've always wondered, if rubber tips might be more suitable for asphalt
Ik kreeg die dingen nooit "up to enjoyable speed" om het zo maar te zeggen, waardoor het mijn interesse weer verloor, maar leuk filmpje!

I love doble pulling on snow. I tried with my skike vx twin (wich are a bit clunky) on gravel was very nice compared to tarmac🤗
Yes, I agree! Double poling on gravel works very well. The Skike vx twin were the first Skikes with a heel lift mechanism, right?
Shared on my SUP South Facebook group as believe it or not there is a crossover of technique here with SUP
Thanks for watching and yes....I noticed that too! I feel a video coming up about that topic!😁
Allo Erik. With the skikev9s, if I need more resistance, is it ok to let air out of tyres? Cheers
Yes you can, but I would rather choose to skike on gravel roads or hilly terrain.

Met mesjes in de stokken toch? (straat grip)
Yep, metalen puntjes! Je zou ermee kunnen vissen..😉
@@outdoorsports6768 ook handig! haha ga volgendeweek skikes weer proberen naast me hardlopen en skeeleren.
that should train the same muscles as in the sup 💪🏽 👍🏽
Yes you are absolutely right! I will make a video about this in the very y near future!😁
